Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantia Hamler.
Hi Shantia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Who is Shantiadajah? This beautiful young woman is a dynamic speaker, YouTuber, author and mentor. She has transformed thousands of lives all over the world. Shantia has supported people with realizing their worth, restoring relationships, building self-confidence, starting new businesses, and finding the true joy within. She is known for being a transformational leader in assisting people of all ages with redefining a purposeful identity.
Shantia created a brand that is not just a brand but a lifestyle, “A True Diamond LLC.” This brand was founded through Shantia experiencing rejection, neglect, abandonment, physical and mental abuse, self-sabotaging, overdosing, alcoholism, and attempting suicide at age 16. However, the greatest pain she felt was her first true love abandoning her; her father. Despite life’s challenging obstacles, she made a conscious decision to turn her pain into power through a series of self-developmental work.
My Journey:
In March of 2021, I moved from ATL to California. I was a celebrity nanny in Calabasas, CA. Within one month of me working God whispered to me that my job would let me go early. The next day I received a phone call where they let me go due to them relocating. In that moment I had no idea what to do so I decided to return back home to Baltimore, MD. I planned on staying in Baltimore for only 1 week but ended up never returning back to California. The week I returned back to Baltimore I had several family emergencies one being my brother going missing. I was completely devastated and depressed for the first 3 months. I applied to several jobs and no one would hire me (I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree.) From then I knew God was calling me out of my comfort zone.
On October 20, 2022 I woke up and God said “use what is in your hand.” At the time I had 1 video uploaded to my YouTube channel that I created earlier in the year. As I began thinking I ended up writing a declaration/promise to God stating “if I stay consistent with posting 1 video a day on my YouTube channel you have to show me something.” On October 21, 2021 I posted my video titled “Overlooked to Abundantly Blessed.” Within 3 months I was monetized on YouTube. Within 9 months I had over 50k subscribers. Now, it is almost a year in a half later and I hit 100k subscribers. I went from look for a 9-5 job to never having to working a 9-5 job again.
In my first year of entrepreneurship, I had an amazing assistant, published my first book and so much more. It is now a year later and I am hosting my first conference called “The First Class Summit” in Atlanta, GA on June 17th, 2023! God amazes me with how much he truly honors his children and their sacrifices. One year of discipline with me serving the world, keeping the promises to myself and posting faith-based content every single day, propelled my life in ways I could’ve never imagined.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life has not been a smooth road. I have overcome a plethora of habits that I adopted along the way. Some obstacles that I faced were attempting suicide multiple times as a child/teen, overdosing, mental, physical and emotional abuse, abandonment issues, siblings being incarcerated and so much more. However, I was taught to look within myself and pull out what God has placed inside me before I was formed in my mother’s womb. Through every challenge, I learned a life-long lesson that I can teach to others who are experience the exact same thing I went through. Life was not all bad but the good always outweighs the bad.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full-time entrepreneur. I am a YouTuber- Shantiadajah. I am a TikToker- Shantiadajahh. I am the CEO/Founder of A True Diamond LLC and A True Diamond Inc. I am a public speaker, author and mentor. I am a full-time content creator. What sets me apart from the world is how I am a young black girl who teaches others how to establish a solid foundation and relationship with God. The content I post daily has transformed millions of people’s lives all over the world. I like to view myself as the girl who restores people’s faith, encouraged them to not give up, teaches them how to start a successful business and so much more.
What is unique about my specific YouTube channel is that I only do 1 take videos. I do not edit any of my videos and I do not have an intro/banner at the beginning of my videos. All of my videos are raw content that comes from the core of who I am from the inside out. Being authentically me has allowed others to gravitate towards me and trust me more because I am who I encourage others to become.
