Check Out Tilon Jones’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tilon Jones.

Hi Tilon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m originally from Memphis, Tennessee moved to Atlanta with my dad 16 years ago and so I guess from a single-parent household. Mom passed away when I was about five years old from stomach cancer but it’s been all good. I feel as if I had enough family support, all those good things, good foundation pieces or whatever, for that to sit with me today but music of course was a big part of everyday life. I started teaching myself piano was about seven, just little stuff, nothing crazy and then my dad saw that and then put me into piano lessons and my interests kind of grew more involving music and expanding me to want to learn other instruments as well as production and composition of music as well to fully understand what my heroes and the greats that I listen on how they were able to create that and able to put that together for someone to be able to relate like it love it. My dad saw that as well my dad is a big part of this just because you know he was my investor lol you know he was the one who paid for the piano lesson for the band classes, studio equipment the piano, the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar, the drum set. I wasn’t the easiest person to raise I guess I had my problems I feel like more than he had his but I appreciate it and I’m still trying to find ways to show that way because you know I was in and out of detention centers, probation fuckin outpatients but I knew music. Its what I was good at Something I can claim a lot of other things as well you know but it’s what is it is music is my passion it’s always been my passion people say they can’t see me not doing anything else you know I come to terms with what if this doesn’t work out but we control our steps.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Rough road was bad management people try to take advantage of you but it’s the journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Singer, Song Writer, Musician, and Producer. I’m most proud of my work that I have out or unreleased just the fact I’m able to create and I see my new idea come to life

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Relationships, because the people we care about are our foundation or even the people we are soon to meet to be able to create a bound so that we can grow in any way. relationships is the human experience
