Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Jones.
Hi Xavier, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a young man from New York. Growing up there most of my childhood was sheltered by a single mother and spent my time mostly alone even with my older siblings. Had little to no friends besides school and the neighborhood. Constantly moving until I found myself down in Georgia with my mom and older brother. As I started to focus on music I drifted as an artist labeling myself many things until finally, God called me to spread the word through my passion.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road is never smooth, but my main struggle was always personal growth. Wanting to be accepted and loved above all else. I struggled with my musical identity for a long time before becoming a disciple of Christ. That is what helped me complete myself and overcome my musical obstacles.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My music is a big part of me but one thing people don’t know about me is my schizophrenia. The voices hope to find me as an artist and can be heard in detail throughout my music I’m proud of who I become as a writer of music producer, engineer, and performer. I’m most proud of my lyrical ability and how I’m able to grab the ear of the listener along with their mind and heart.
How do you define success?
Accomplishing your goals. No matter what it takes. Doing what you love, loving what you do. Working with a passion, leaving a legacy and dying with a smile.
