Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Johnson.
Hi Tamara, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My love for makeup began when I was a young girl. As I became older, I began getting more into the foundations and eye shadow. My love for makeup has just come naturally to me. Makeup is me. It’s something I enjoy doing and I love perfecting my craft on top of being able to make others feel good when they leave my chair. I also specialize in skin care, which came kind of goes along with makeup but I got into while trying to properly take care of my own skin. Later I gained more confidence and began manifesting my dreams and business ideas and here I am, which is only the beginning.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road since I am a single mother. So financially I wasn’t able to invest in myself because I had to take care of my priorities while living check to check. But now I am in a better predicament to invest in myself / my business and also take care all while being a single mother.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an up and coming makeup artist. I specialize in natural and full glam makeup. I also have my own cosmetics line that includes lashes, lip gloss, magnetic eyeliner pens and more to come. I also specialize in skincare I love making my clients feel beautiful it I also like to help them feel the same when they are not wearing makeup. I think what sets me apart from other is my drive and motivation to make my clients happy and feel good about themselves without it. My goal is to please my clients by any means and accommodate them however I can.
How do you think about happiness?
Makeup make me happy. My daughter makes me happy. Making others happy. Just being able to manifest my dreams MAKES ME HAPPY. The simple things.
