Hi Bruce, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The story starts with me moving to a new city and promptly losing my job. I took the advice of a friend and took a sales job. (Be careful who you take advice from kids) I ended up working really hard and learning from the best and won quite a few awards. Sales skill unlocked. In order to gain leadership experience, I joined a group called Toastmasters. I helped business professionals with their presentation skills. I was going above and beyond to help other people succeed. One day someone handed me a $100 bill. I hadn’t realized people would pay for my knowledge and experience. Coaching skill uinlocked! Now I teach sales skills to entrepreneurs and help them confidently raise their prices! One new skill will change your life!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This entrepreneurial journey has been about as smooth as double battered, fried chicken. Okay, that was corny and now I’m hungry. I love what I do. It is immensely satisfying helping my clients reach a breakthrough. It is so fulfilling when they tell me about a new client or contract. It makes all the tough times worth it. The challenge is the constant growth. Unlike many areas of our lives you CANNOT remain the same. It is dynamic. The continuous evolution leaves you in duality of discomfort and excitement. It is like riding a rollercoaster with a blindfold on and I wouldn’t change a thing.
