Hi Shannon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Since May 2020, ATL Sea Moss has been supplying sea moss gel with fresh and all-natural ingredients. The sea moss we use is Irish sea moss a.k.a. One of Earth’s best kept secrets. It is renowned as a source of nature for the healing and maintenance of our bodies. Sea moss is packed with 92 of the 102 minerals our bodies need, along with Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K. It is especially rich in calcium and iodine, as well as containing potassium iodide and potassium bromide, selenium, zinc and natural silica. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is not easy, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m grateful my business is doing well. However, it has its ups and downs. Some months are better than others. My biggest struggle is delivering our product nationwide. We plan on expanding our shipping all over the US in Spring 2022!

It all started with a desire to help promote healthy thyroid balance for people who didn’t know where to begin in their Hyperthyroidism journey. I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism/Graves disease in May of 2020. I was introduced to sea moss through a co-worker who’s from Jamaica. The first time tasting sea moss gel was horrible, but after taking it for about a week, I got used to the taste and I saw results with my thyroid and digestive health. Overtime after trying different ways to consume sea moss, I came up with the idea to add fruit into it. After I added pineapple into my sea moss gel, I knew it was a winner! I decided to get into the holistic health business and sell a variety of my sea moss gel. Now today, we offer 14 different sea moss gels flavors. How I came up with the name ATL (The fellow Atlantans Finest Clan- Grady Baby) Sea Moss(sea moss gel). That is the story of how I came up with my sea moss gel brand.
