Conversations with the Inspiring Maria Dix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Dix.

Maria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a 24 years old Colombian girl living the life in the United States from 2013. About 4 years ago, I created my website maridix.com to share my love for fashion, photography, and travel. It’s been such an amazing experience through all these years work with nice companies and the best part meet amazing people around the world. I really enjoy being creative and have the passion to share my different type of content with people that love what I do.

As a part-time a blogger, I have been given many opportunities that I never imagined could ever happen to me and that motivates me to continue learning and growing as a blogger each day to share better content and inspire more people.

Has it been a smooth road?
Taking and editing photos are what I love the most and are what takes most of the time because is where the creatives came out. Being a blogger is not easy at all, especially as a student and with a part-time job but having the passion for what I do makes it more enjoyable.

“If you love what you do you will find time enough to do it!”

If you want to start your own business or a blog o anything don’t hesitate and do it! If you have a passion you will succeed. There is so much help on the internet that will help you to get to where you want, but the most important thing is the love, the commitment, and dedication that you put into it.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into maridix.com story. Tell us more about the business.
Right now, I’m a student as I said before and I’m going to school to deepen my learning in areas like marketing, photography, and graphic design. Areas that interested me a lot and will help me to grow my website as a blogger.

I’m proud that without much knowledge about social networking I created my website and ran my Instagram account to what is today with dedication and hard work.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
The women that have inspired me in my life is my grandmother. She says that we are owners of our life and that with desire we can get where we want. She knows my dreams and always supports me, she always reminds me that there are no limits in life for our dreams and goals.
