Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Maddox.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiffany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got started in photography in early 2017. I bought the camera to do my own photoshoots for a clothing line I started. For a while, the camera was unused after I did one photoshoot. I was talking some pretty cool pictures with my phone, so I picked up the camera again in early 2018, and haven’t put it down. I love it!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, I haven’t had any issues with clients. However, I would say pace yourself, but the equipment you can afford, learn it in and out, and put your money back into your art. Continue to invest in yourself.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Art Class 404 story. Tell us more about it.
I am a photographer first and a videographer second. I’m known for my moving images and event recap videos. I’m most proud of my continuous progression with my photography and videography because the more I learn and do more with my equipment and software I’m getting better and better. I’m a professional person and if I’m available for a client, then I’m there. I’m reliable and easy to work with and willing to take my time all in the name of art.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
Women kick ass! From Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Stacey Abrams, Ava DuVernay, Lena Waithe, Issa Rae, Lacey Duke, and Beatrice Feliu Espada. These women are out in the world creating opportunities and sharing their knowledge, strength, and talents with us. Living out loud, not taking no for an answer, and going against the grain. Women are standing up and be present and commanding respect. Women can do anything! The number of women that have taken high positions in politics and his opportunities in film and television right now, whether it’s in front or behind the camera, are mind-blowing. It makes me feel like anything I possible for us. We can rise to the occasion and seize the moment for any opportunity.
