Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Sams.
Hi Jonathan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Aubrey Jai Collection is from a unique and family-centered fashion brand based around the principles of community and building lasting legacies. It was created by Atlanta designer, me Jonathan Sams in celebration of the life of my three-year-old daughter, Aubrey Jai Sams. The triangle is her first shape due to it being my daughter’s favorite shape.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a smooth road for the most part but the biggest obstacle we are facing now is finding our particular audience and bringing more exposure to our new brand.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently design and specialize in odd shape handbags. We are currently known for the triangle shape vegan handbags. So
I am most proud of seeing my daughter interactions with this line, it’s crazy she is only three years old but she is already like that is my name on that purse daddy. Along with seeing trying to help our team with packaging. It just enjoyable because one day this will be bigger than I ever imagined and it will be hers.
What sets us apart is that yes we are a fashion line, however this fashion line is about generational wealth and is inspired by a three years old. If I can motivate just one person to see the bigger picture and start something for their family through something they love to do. Also, a plus is that we only produce vegan leather.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Online shopping is definitely the way to go, one of the reasons we are currently online and not a brick and mortar.
