Conversations with Layne Hagy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Layne Hagy.

Hi Layne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing this about three years ago. Honestly just has something to do while the lockdown was going on. It kind of just involved And became its own thing. It’s been really interesting to see how everything has been evolving over the last three years. I wear different styles of clothing and I post pictures differently. I am now authentically my own self. And I’m able to show myself a little bit better than I was in the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not always a smooth road. In the very beginning of this, I actually got laid off from a job, so this kind of took the back burner until I was able to get on my feet again. But once I was able to kind of separate that and start to realize that this is something that I wanted to do and that I was really enthralled in it, then it just kind of became something so much bigger than me. I wasn’t just showing up for myself, I was showing up for other people who were following me and needing to be on the journey that I was on as well.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So I am a plus size, a Fashion influencer/creator on Instagram. I am very plus size positive body positive and just self-love. I grew up not seeing people who were like me in magazines or on any websites and that is what I want to be to somebody. I am very proud of over the last three years of me growing and me being comfortable in my own skin kind of showing a bit more skin on the Internet. I show my rolls I show my Stretch marks all the curves and everything in between. I don’t think there’s one thing that sets me apart from others because there’s a lot of people on this journey. But I am very honest about the depression and anxiety that I feel from a day-to-day basis. I struggle with it a lot and I let my audience know that it is definitely something that is day to day and one day I can be really into making contact in the next day I could absolutely just want to lie in bed.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I am open to all collaborations/opportunities/modeling gigs. I have always welcome to new ideas new opportunities. I love showing fashion or swimsuits or just real-life stuff. You can follow me on Instagram and just like and comment honestly. If you were wanting to reach out to collaborate, my email is in my Instagram bio and I welcome all new opportunities.
