Conversations with Robert Malloy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Malloy.

Hi Robert, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a proud military veteran, father, brother, grandfather, friend, entrepreneur, and a host of others. When I speak, I speak from personal experience, not theory.

I have many hats that I wear daily. I am the:

– Author of the Uncomfortable Conversations book series
– Host of the show “What Men Really Want”
– The executive producer of “What Women Really Need”
– CEO of GiGi Afterdark Enterprises
– Public Speaker
– Mentor
– Host of Brims and Stilettos – Adult Conversation
– Host for DTN TV Network Show “Exquisite Taste”
– Fitness Coach – Bob Nitro Fitness

My passion is helping others live their most authentic lives. My dedication to service was instilled in me at a very early age. I was raised in a military family, born in Providence, Rhode Island, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I am the youngest of 4 and I also served our country proudly in the United States Airforce.

Currently, I call Atlanta, Georgia home. I have been here since I was honorably discharged from the Airforce.

My commitment to service to others transcends to the philanthropic causes that I enjoy so much. I currently serve as the Athletic Director for Special Athletes Avengers – an organization that provides athletic opportunities for those with cognitive disabilities. I continue to serve also my fellow Veterans as Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc.’s President. Keeping Veterans Fit is a charitable 501c3 organization that is committed to assisting veterans as they return to civilian life.

My passion for service now extends to my newest role as the Relationship Realist.

Relationships are the backbone of our human existence. Human interactions are relationships and how we navigate relationships is something that we all need to perfect. Be it romantic, familial, or business – relationships make the world go around. I believe if we master our relationships we will leave this world better than we found it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say my life has been hard. My life has had many challenges. However, nothing worth having is without challenges.

I was a very young father. I was a father by the age of 17 years old. I have four children and I wouldn’t trade the relationships that I have with my children for anything in the world.

I have been married twice and while currently single – I see the value in the lessons that I learned in both of my marriages.

I see challenges as a part of the process of successful living.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t know if luck has a role in my life. I think planning, positioning, and preparation have played more of a role in my life and my business.

If luck has played a role in my life it would be with the people that have been staples in my life for years. I have been lucky to have two amazing parents that have been married for over 40 years and have been an example of what partnership can be. I have been lucky to have three amazing siblings that have by consistent supporters in all of my endeavors. I have been lucky to have have new amd seasoned friendships aong this journey.

Everything else, I would say is based on planning, positioning, and preparation. I have learned that I have to live my life intentionally because that is the only way that I can live the life that will bring me the most joy. That requires planning and making sure that I am in the correct position and I am prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to me. This also requires making sure that the people around me are beneficial to me as much as I am beneficial to them.

Those things are not about good luck or bad luck. Those are the parts that we play in our success.
