Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Lauren Jones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always had an interest in art whether it was writing, painting or cutting up old clothes and sewing them into tiny outfits for my dolls. In high school, I gained an interest in film photography and painting and began entering my work into competitions–that’s when I realized my true love for the arts. I received my BFA in Fashion Design from the School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University where I continued to express myself artistically through various mediums, mainly fashion design and writing. For six years I built my career as a Technical Designer specializing in the product development of shapewear and intimate apparel, freelancing creative services along the way for friends and family. My career was going well, in the sense that I was slowly climbing the ladder and earning more money but I was miserable. I knew I was capable of so much more and I was ready to take control of my life’s work.
As my creative services and passions expanded, the 726 SQFT Design Studio + Blog was founded as a way to keep my creative juices flowing and also help clients build their best personal and professional brands, designing for and capturing the best moments of their lives. What started as a hobby slowly turned into a business – a business that I could see myself doing full-time. I slowly transitioned into a creative design agency model and eventually turned to business coaching with a focus on project management and operations for online business owners.
Personally, I was going through a major transition period – nothing from my old life seemed to “fit” anymore. I had no idea where I was supposed to go or what I was supposed to do but I knew that it was time for a major change. I knew that my life was meant for more and that there was so much more passion in work and life for me to experience. So I sold my house, quit my job and moved home to hit the reset button.
Many asked about the blog, where it went, what I was doing, etc. and they probably got a long-winded gibberish answer because in short, I didn’t know, lol, and I learned that was okay! I had no set plan, no real direction, just ideas and an overwhelming longing for change. I needed something new, something different and I was ready to take the leap to figure out exactly what that was. Quitting my job, selling my house and starting a new journey was one of the scariest things I’ve done in a long time, maybe ever. I gave up everything I worked so hard for over so many years after all of the blood, sweat and tears (literally)! I gave up my safety net, my bubble and took A GIANT LEAP OF FAITH…into a big giant pile of confusion and emotion (plot twist). I can’t lie…I ran full speed ahead off of the cliff but it was a slow-motion free fall into the pile with a few amazing life experiences that softened the landing.
There were mini-chapters within this giant chapter of transition. I felt as if I was unraveling the onion of my life. First, the house and job, then the relationship and then came all of those deep inner thoughts and feelings in my subconscious I’d pushed away or didn’t even know I had. The universe was completely cleaning house and I let it. I knew it was needed. I really started to get focused on myself and my life in a way I never had before. Sure, I knew how to be successful, but I was ready to level up. I was ready to completely vibrate on a higher frequency and elevate to a level I’d never been before both spiritually, physically, mentally and professionally.
I didn’t want average, I wanted great, and to me that meant tackling inner peace and growing closer to God first. I started connecting the dots between the power players I admired. What do they have in common? What do the people they surround themselves with have in common? Meditation and inner peace was a big factor. I started reading and researching like crazy and learned what it meant to be out of alignment with yourself without even knowing it. I felt that no amount of success would matter if I wasn’t aligned with my true self and God’s calling on my life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The transition between where you are now and where you want to be, is one of the toughest decisions and journeys you’ll take, but it’s completely worth it. Taking one day at a time I learned to reconnect with myself, my mind, and so many thoughts I’d pushed away because I was “too busy”. This has been the key to my transformation and what I believe is the path to alignment.
Choosing yourself, and deciding to take action toward the life you dream of, is not easy. It requires you to face parts of yourself you’ve suppressed and hidden from the world out of fear. The hardest part is learning to be authentically you and focus on your inner voice as it’s the guidance system that will take you where you need to go.
Each day got a little easier with prayer, meditation and the love and support of family and friends. I’m not sure I would’ve been able to do any of this without them listening to me for hours on end and continuing to encourage me. I’ve had time to reconnect with the deepest parts of myself and it was all worth it just for that. Time is so precious. As time passes, it’s so important to me to strengthen the connection with not only myself but also loved ones – to support and understand them too. For me, I’ve learned this work means prioritizing myself, family, time to see the world and create my life’s work through writing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My business doesn’t fit into a specific category or box which is what makes it so unique! It’s evolved in many directions that’s given me a unique approach to the work I do and blends many different aspects of myself and my expertise.
I’m most known for my marketing project management and operations consulting work where I work with conscious Thought Leaders and Entrepreneurs looking to build their dream life and online business holistically by bridging the gap between work and wellness through core identity integration.
What’s unique about my work is that I take a holistic approach to the traditionally conservative marketing industry. I start with the person first and gain an understanding of who they are energetically, using astrology and birth chart methods to ensure the core of who they are is integrated into their business and how they choose to operate in their leadership, whether solo or with a team.
It’s people first, business second for me and that is the foundation that allows my clients to evolve and attract their desired results long after our work together. It’s more than business development, it’s a personal alignment transformation that resets the core of everything you do.
I’ve also rekindled my relationship with my first love of writing! Through my business development process, it’s been important for me to share the healing work I’ve done along the way that I believe can be helpful for others on a similar journey.
Through my writing, I share healing and thoughtful content that is meant to activate and support anyone on a similar path. Our energy and how we transmute it into our work is vital to our happiness and ultimately, our personal definitions of success. This is my ultimate goal, to help people heal their hearts and remember the human in everything they do.
What matters most to you? Why?
Energetic alignment and my relationship with God, Source, Universe are what matter most to me. When I’m focused on those two elements of my life as the primary focus, I find myself naturally guided in the right direction, and the right people are guided toward me. It helps me to define my community, to pour into the people that pour into me, and establish deeper relationships with my friends, family and clients.
It keeps me grounded as I remember my core values and what my heart truly wants for myself and others – it’s my life’s work and it means everything to me!
What I’ve had to be more aware of on this journey is remembering my own power and the power in the community I cultivate around me. I’ve been reminded that we aren’t meant to go on our journeys alone and to be thankful for the people who’ve been there along the way regardless of whether or not our journeys keep us on the same path. Everything and everyone you encounter is there to teach you something about your work, your life or just you. It’s our job to pay attention, show gratitude and grace even in moments of frustration and doubt. It always works out in the end.
