Conversations with Tiffany Marshall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Marshall.

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was starting my business, I was thinking to myself that it was something for me to do and was going to make money. I start thinking about what my business should be and what the name of my business should be. I put a lot of thought into the process of where to start, where to get my item from and what the prices should be. I did about three months of research on everything I need to know how to start my online boutique store. I got where I am today with work, saving money, research and help. No, it was not easy and it still is not easy right now.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No it has not been a smooth road. The struggles that I had along the way was the money for the products and getting customers. My biggest struggle was and still is today is getting customers.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My online boutique store started out as an online clothing store for plus-size women. In the last year, I have added more and different things for everyone. What I am most proud of is that I have something that I can leave my kids. What I am most excited about is the next things I am working on to add to my business. What sets me apart from others is my boutique is online so the website is open 24/7. Me as the business owner, I am not on my website 24/7. Also what sets me apart from others is my prices are low. And my shipping prices are low. I am moving my website soon.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
When I was growing up, I stayed to myself because I was the only child in the house my brothers was grown and moved out. I was a sweet kid and other kids loved to play outside with me. I had a very big imagination. But most of the time, I love to stay in the house and play in my room I didn’t look at television that much because I love to play.
