Daily Inspiration: Meet Brianna Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Taylor.

Hi Brianna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey of becoming a working actress began a few years ago when I went on my very first movie set to work as an extra. The movie I worked on was called Saving Zoe, and it was such an amazing, eye-opening experience. I loved everything about it; from the early call times all the way to seeing actors in person that I grew up watching. I knew instantly that this is the lifestyle I am destined to live. After working on Saving Zoe, I went to work as background on the set of Avengers: Infinity War, which is one of my favorite memories known to date. Anyone who has witnessed the filming of a Marvel movie can assure you how mind-blowing it is to experience. Shortly after getting a few background gigs under my belt, I gained representation from Stisa Talent Agency, it was time to get some acting training and take myself even more seriously. I have been represented since the fall of 2017, and since then I have worked on several sets including movies and television.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I cannot say that it has been a smooth road. The journey of becoming a working actress has been extremely challenging. I knew I had discovered my calling at a young age, but I didn’t know how difficult it would be. The biggest test of all has been maintaining my confidence and knowing that there ARE perfect roles for me out there. Every actor in the world knows how painful it is to be rejected over and over again, and still have to get up and try again the very next day. Even though it has not been easy, I can say for sure that the journey is worth it. I have met so many people along the way that have contributed nothing but greatness to my life and helped me to stay afloat. I love what I do and I would not trade it for anything.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an actress, I am mostly known for my starring role in a movie called “Milila.” I learned so much about myself, and I learned how much I can accomplish as an artist when I really push myself. I am especially proud of this role because it was a dark movie, with heavy themes and I feel I did my character justice. Milila is currently in post-production right now, and I cannot wait to experience this film along with the rest of the amazing cast in theaters very soon!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
To any aspiring actors out there, I want to encourage you to gain exposure in the film industry by working as an extra. You will be able to see for yourself how movies are made and what you will be doing in the future when you book your first speaking role. Everyone starts somewhere, and all experience is useful. Take acting classes, and join Facebook groups like “Atlanta Actors Network” to learn more about the industry and do a little networking.
