Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Nicole Myers.
Hi Brittany Nicole, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ideas won’t work unless you do! I remember laying in bed back in the summer of 2019 and the idea of “dressmaking” came to mind, I mean it literally clicked in my head like a light switch being cut on. Which I would later on find out that “the idea” of being a Fashion Designer was “Divine” & God had placed that desire in me. I was 30 years of age at the time and the idea seemed so unrealistic because I never desired to learn how to sew, design or make garments! Most of the people I’ve met in the fashion industry have shared with me that fashion has always been their dream/passion since they was a child. That is not my testimony lol.
I started researching local designers/dressmakers, classes and other resources that was available to me. I was so excited then COVID came and I got a little discouraged because everything was shutdown or canceled. I started making face masks at the beginning of the COVID pandemic and putting the idea out on social media of myself becoming a fashion designer. I remember still trying to figure out a name for my brand and one day while I was on the phone with my mentor she asked what was my middle name I said “Nicole”, she said Brittany Nicole… that’s a pretty name. That is when the lightbulb literally turned on in my head!! Duh Brittany Nicole Collection! Lol, I set up my first photoshoot with a very talented photographer name Cameron at Cameron Daron Photography and that’s how I met my very first model name Ria! Who I made my very first garment for. 2022 has been a trial and error year for me with 2 fashions and several invites to be featured in different fashion events; we are ready and looking forward to see what 2023 has to offer.
While currently residing in Charlotte, NC I was originally born in Savannah, GA. I attribute all of my success to my Faith and believe that fashion is my calling. While being spiritually driven by God to help others showcase their beauty and find confidence in their uniqueness, through formal to everyday wear, her designs are Divinely Elegant with each garment channeling her unique passion for FASHION!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
