Daily Inspiration: Meet Carlos Reeves Jr

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Reeves Jr.

Hi Carlos, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started off as a graphics designer back in high school but never started using my talent until the graduation of 2014. I started around 2011 doing logos and web design. A lot of my friends and others around my school knew I was artistic. I just never really wanted to show my potential just yet. So, me and a group of friends wanted to start a movement, and we called it LSD. Over the past years, some of us didn’t stick around besides a few of us. The last of us had the vision for LivingSteadyDreamsLtdCo and knew someday we would make it into a clothing brand and do so much more with it. We don’t only do clothing design because our true passion was cars as well. We wanted to do so much after school but had to take steady steps to make things happen. Now, we’re finally at levels at our lives where we can do that. I’ve been so busy for the past years and had a couple of other obstacles that made us stagnant but time to get moving.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, and it could have been better, but things happen. So you have to keep moving forward. Regardless of the past. Most of our struggle was keeping people with the same mindset but not wanting to put in work to make the vision happen. More obstacles for us were friends that were distant and had to make moves and having different career paths, which made some of us fall off.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m currently a Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps who wants to start up my own clothing line and a custom shop for cars around Atlanta unless I have to move around due to my job in the Marines. It’s not too easy, but I make time to still build with the business and keep things afloat. Taking my time and going to school for business administration is a challenge but I know I can do it.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I would say we would be less stagnant and actually started up cause those who stayed actually can put in the work to make our dream come true.
