Today we’d like to introduce you to Curstin Andrews.
Hi Curstin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It started out as me as a Walmart employee. I was the greeter checking receipts. I happen to see this nice Bentley pull up in the handicap spot of the parking lot. So the guy that walked up from out of that vehicle I stopped and asked him what did he do for living? He said I’m a producer, songwriter, and artist. I said oh really!?! I asked him so you work on movies and stuff like that. He said yes, I do? I said could I be on your next movie you are working on? He said yes, lock me in and we will talk business. I said great I will. And ever since that day, I have been working with him on the movie project. The people that I was surrounding by that I was in the movie with led me to different other projects to and other cast members to work which had gotten me to elevate to different famous people. I have been researching every and each day in and out and I happen to also been on 2 radio stations and 2 magazines as well. The famous stars I world with was Yolanda Adams, Drew Sidora, and Ericka Peebles and much more. I’m thankful ever since that day he got me a stepping stone into his movie I wouldn’t be here today where I am now. I am thankful for the people I have met through the first movie that we are working on because it led me to bigger and better things inside the industry and with the help and motivation they have for me I’m always will be on the grind and striving for greatness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, honestly it has because as I started as a beginner actor, I always have gotten roles off the back. I never had trouble finding roles because of the actors and producers that led me in the right direction. Without the first people I met and the people I met after them, I wouldn’t be here today. It’s been a smoove path for me ever since then and I’m ready to end up submitting to an agency where I could go professional acting.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As me outside of acting I’m a lovable person that loves to teach couples and people that are not in relationships about how to keep ur significant other. Ok, basically a love doctor. I have been everyone loves doctor since 9th grade and people has said why want I make this a profession? Why don’t you get paid for doing this because you are really good? I just never thought I could be a therapist or be a marriage counselor for a living so I never chose that field when I got out of high school. Love doctor was the best job I had out through my school years and I feel like I still do it now because people always come to me with their problems and I love it. I specialize in being a therapist, actor, and model. I’m known for acting being goofy always having movie projects to do always being on the road traveling to different projects each and every day.
And most of all beings goofball that I am. I’m proud that I made it this far with the help of cast members, producers, and directors for showing me the way and believing in me that I will make it as far as I want to make it and showing me all the connections and networking events to connect with people to show me how to get more movie projects in the industry. Basically, I believe what set me apart away from others is my potential, dedication, and motivation. Reason I say that is because everyone has asked me how you get all these paid roles so fast is because I’m hungry for what I want and I don’t sit around and wait for people to come to me because that’s not how this industry works as a beginner actor. You have to go hunt for what you want until you get to the point where you are no longer hunting and it all comes natural and comes to you. However, in order for that to happen, you will need an agent. Which an agent costs. As well as you need experience. So you have to start off somewhere which means starting out as a background actor.
How do you think about luck?
It has been good luck. Because with me striving for greatness and having potential faith, trust, belief, motivation, and dedication, nothing will stop you. The only way something will stop you and that’s if you stop. Long as you don’t stop, nothing will stop you. You will overcome the majority of the obstacles you are facing unless you end up stopping. That’s why I tell people to keep going don’t stop you made it this far and how you want to quit! Quitting will never be in our vocabulary!! Keep pushing!! And finally, they end up striving for greatness and finishing.
