Hi Jennifer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I honestly started my business on a whim. Just making chocolate suckers on sticks and putting them in baskets as gifts for friends and family. Each time, someone else would see it, inquire about what I can do and challenge me to add to my menu of treats. I became more & more excited about this “hobby” and social media became my best friend! Word of mouth is what allowed me to start gaining customers. I expanded what I offered and eventually started setting up treat displays for events. It’s a signature of “Sweet Pops” and it’s been busy ever since! I pride myself on customer interactions, professionalism & service! I build relationships with my customers and we grow with treats orders from bridal showers, to weddings, then baby showers & first birthdays! It’s a blessing to come this far. It wasn’t easy and sometimes I don’t know how I made… well yes I do…God!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
This definitely hasn’t been smooth. I am self-financed and the Money came primarily from my personal work income. Having the means to supply my business was a task. What most don’t understand is that business isn’t all money. It’s investing in yourself. Juggling home, work, business and life Has been a balancing act over the years.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
There are so many amazing treat makers in my area. I love to support them and recommend them. But one thing that I specialize in & somewhat sets me apart is my treat setups. Not only do I make the treats to match the events, I match the themes with table decor and stands. I add centerpieces to the table (some edible and others floral). It is used to compliment the room decor and as a dessert!
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me… is to ensure that my customers are completely satisfied. To make them happy that they chose me for their special event. The money that is spent is additional and not a need. I want my customers to feel that their order is worth the extra expense. I want everyone to feel the same no matter how big or small their order is. If I error, there has to be a correction without hesitation! My Customers matter the most.
