Events by Jes the brain child of owner Jessica Smith-Presley was created from the support and encouragement of her husband Nathan Presley. The family-owned business has operated for seven years within the Atlanta, Georgia Market and in 2022 began “Transforming Visions into Reality” in other states within the Southeast Region. Events by Jes has become a highly sought-after company for event planning and installation of drapery throughout the years. The company’s success has been noted in several publications such at Atlanta Styled Weddings, Rent My Wedding and the Celebration Society while winning notable awards including Best of Georgia 2021 in the Event Planner Category.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Creating one of a kind event planning company in the Atlanta market has not come without its challenges. Events by Jes constantly strives to provide superior expertise and seamless events all while developing budget-conscious events that ‘WOW’s hosts and event attendees. Networking and acquiring the best “tribe” of event professionals was difficult within the businesses first three years. After streamlining the needs of their clients, Events by Jes has successfully bridged the gap between budget and creativity; generating over 30 unique events each year.

Although Events by Jes provides organized, creative events, the event planning company also has a department dedicated to “Transforming Visions Into Reality” through the use of drapery. From creating a Whimsical Wonderland in an unfinished basement to hiding unsightly areas of walls for a Wedding, the drapery skills of its team are second to none. Very rarely are ceilings a focal point for event designers; however, Events by Jes has had the opportunity to use untraditional drapery techniques to create a midnight sky in an airport hanger and other spectacular lighting and drapery combinations in tents. There’s no limit to the opportunities and possibilities imagined with the use of drapery once Events by Jes’ creativity is allowed to flow.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck isn’t a part of Events by Jes’ business plans. However, we have a strong belief in morality and ethics. As long as we continue to develop business standards that will provide our clients with their heart’s desires, we will grow as a company. For the past seven years, Events by Jes’ ‘word of mouth’ advertising has allowed its team to operate in various locations and companies including a national sporting team. Considering the premise of serving its clients as individuals and not as a whole or collective is rewarded by the weekly influx of event requests.
