Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariame Toure.
Hi Mariame, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I always liked the idea of having my own business and having everyone like my products and items as if it was a huge brand. As soon as I thought of my cosmetic business I got the ball rolling and started working on it right away. My business is a beauty brand. All things from makeup to hair anything! I am still really small so I haven’t got a chance to expand my products but I would eventually like to have mens products and have a booking section on my page where customers can book beauty services from people all around the US. My business goal is to be a recognized, successful, and highly valued beauty brand. I want Beauté x Mariame Touré to be the next Fenty beauty!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A struggle that I am still having is getting exposure. This is always tough with small businesses. I only get a few orders a month despite paid advertising and such.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an active duty army soldier at Fort Benning. My job is a combat medic and I work for the hospital in an outlying clinic. My civilian equivalence would be an EMT.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love that ATL is so diverse from restaurants to shopping stores and even local, small businesses!
I am not from ATL and just recently got stationed in columbus, GA but one thing I dislike is the traffic. I dont really know much to dislike anything.
