Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrance Trice.
Hi Terrance, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started off as full-time BMW technician at the dealership and I worked there for ten plus years. Within those years, I would meet people who couldn’t afford dealership prices and also never had time to bring their cars in. So in 2018, I started T&T European Repair LLC which is a mobile repair service for mostly European vehicles and also work on other makes and model. It was a struggle in the beginning cause I had no prior business experience, nor any bank would lend me money for startup capital. So I continued working and saving until I had enough money to buy my van and equipment.
Also, prayer works and having faith in the process basically believing in the unseen. I invested everything and risk it all cause I really wanted it and I have had my challenges and went months without being able to pay myself anything but I kept reinvesting into the business, preparing for my breakthrough and 2020 was my breakthrough because everyone was home and my business specialty is servicing vehicle without leaving your home so pandemic really got my business notice by a lot of new clients. We are growing everyday.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it haven’t. Hard work! Dedication and trusting the process. There been times I wanted to quit because that is easier to do but I knew I could do it. I dream about doing this and having my own business leading to financial freedom. Not having any business experience and when you ask people, sometimes they talk in riddles so you have to do a lot of research and figure out a lot on your own. Startup capital was challenging because some financial institutions do not see your vision to want to lend you money so I risk it all and invested my own money and put the work behind it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am certified BMW technician and I started working for the brand at age 20. I love mechanic work and that’s what I’m known for. I work on all cars but specialize in BMW and I most proud of my skills and my ability to make people feel good driving high-end cars without breaking the bank. Money don’t drive me but helping people does so I think that what set me apart from a lot of other mechanics.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes! It’s pretty simple for me I just let GOD see me through it. I wasn’t afraid despite the storm (Covid-19) I still trusted him and I believe in my process and trusted the process. Staying consistent despite the challenges as well.
