Exploring Life & Business with Britney Powell of Miss Bee’s Foodie Recipes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britney Powell.

Hi Britney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began taking my brand serious in 2018 and that was where Miss Bee’s Foodie recipes were birthed. I began falling in love with cooking at a very young age. I have always been around culinary experiences with my many family members. My father also played a major role in me taking my brand seriously, He was such an awesome baker and cook. I loved when he would start pulling out items to bake his infamous German Chocolate Cake. October 2019 Tragedy struck when my father fell ill and eventually transitioned October 28th, 2019.

After losing him I thought my enthusiasm for cooking transitioned with him. But he visited me in my dreams one night and told me to keep pushing because this talent and love for cooking was embedded in my bloodline. So I got the next day and followed his advice. I rebranded Miss Bee’s Foodie Recipes and I started falling in love with cooking all over again, but now with a new found purpose. I pray that anytime anyone tastes my food, uses any of my seasoning, infused olive oils or breadings they taste the love as my number #1 ingredient and that it imprints not only their taste buds but their heart. Miss Bee’s Foodie Recipes was birthed from love through every single recipes and dishes.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has been a struggle. I have experienced many blockages such as financial, lack of motivation and just lost desire. I had to reset and remember my purpose of starting my business. I’m glad I was able to overcome those obstacles and gained unwavering faith.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business was started because I saw that food prepared with love, actually heals.

I specialize in American, Seafood and Caribbean dishes. I first started out catering private events which grew to weddings, business events and the list goes on. When Covid-19 hit it caused me to think outside the box. So I decided to begin a kitchenware line, custom blended seasonings, infused olive oils and breadings.

I am proud of my resilience. It has been difficult to remain creative and be involved in every aspect of my business. Small business owners know that we are the owner, marketing team, customer service reps, accountant, etc. It can be overwhelming at times. But I push through every single time and produce top quality results!

I have an E Cookbook that will be released soon! I have so many staple pieces that will help you achieve a restaurant quality meal at the fraction of the price and time.

I want them to know that my brand is based upon love. That is my number 1 ingredient. Every single item I have to offer my customers have been produced with love.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Please Research and continue to research no matter how successful your brand becomes. Always be a student. NEVER listen to the negativity of others in regards to your business. Stay the course and know that your dream will flourish in divine timing.
