

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gail Turner-Cooper.
Hi Gail, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was working as an Executive Vice President at a national marking company when I realized I needed to follow a greater calling. What started for me as an interest in wellness quickly turned into a passion for helping others. Just like anyone else, I was not raised with the healthiest options in mind, but I began making better choices to keep my mind, body, and heart in balance. I soon realized that I could help other people experience that kind of transformation. I found that I was the “go-to” person for all of my friends’ and coworkers’ health questions. I decided that in order to make a big impact, I needed to put full attention to developing my health coaching practice, and voila Align Health Coaching was born.
My passion for wellness developed over my lifetime. Two forces fuel my drive. My daughter has Asperger’s. We discovered that she thrives on a very specific diet. We have taken a deep dive into the world of special needs nutrition. The second is my own journey. I was a kid that grew up drinking Diet Pepsi and eating pop tarts. I suffered from horrible digestion issues and sought doctors’ advice. None of their solutions worked. I started experimenting with a variety of diets such as vegan, vegetarian, high meat protein, and no sugar. I settled on one that works for my individual needs. After applying what I learned, my digestion issues are resolved.
I approach everything with optimism and mindfulness. Health starts with the choices we make, and when we are making mindful choices to bring ourselves joy, the pieces can start falling to place. With a balance of food, exercise, and stress management techniques, you can start living your healthiest, happiest life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth is not a term that I would use to discuss building my business. However, my journey has been quite fulfilling. It has taken a lot of work and dedication. Every year I have realized strong growth and am very pleased with the success so far. One of the struggles/hurdles, in the beginning, was finding my ideal client and how to reach them.

I am also a Reiki Master. Reiki is an energy healing practice that works holistically to relieve pain and stress, help you relax, and improve your overall well-being. Based on the idea that life force energy flows through all of us, Reiki works to rebalance us. Reiki treats your whole self, including your body, emotions, mind, and spirit.
The word “Reiki” means universal life energy. REI (Ray) is All-Knowing Spiritual Consciousness. KI (Kee) is Life Force Energy. Reiki is not a religious belief or dogma. Instead, everyone can benefit from this natural form of energy healing.

If you’re looking to work with me, I offer a few avenues to get started. Vitality Session
When you sign up for our Vitality Session, you’ll get two private, one-hour sessions with a Health Coach to discuss your personal wellness habits and goals. Ahead of the appointment, you’ll fill out a few brief surveys so your current lifestyle and needs can be established. In your two sessions, we will work with you to discover how you can make lasting change.
6-Month Program
Every other week for six months (12 visits), your Health Coach will meet with you for an hour to work through your wellness habits, challenges, and goals. By tracking changes in nutrition, meditation, and lifestyle over the course of several months, your Health Coach will be best able to develop a custom, holistic approach to forming lasting habits and learning mechanisms for your life. When you sign up for this program, you’ll get seven days a week contact with your coach so you can reach out with questions about restaurant menus, food choices, supplements, or any other questions you might have between sessions. This is the most intensive and by far most rewarding of the programs offered. You may decide that this level of support and accountability is right to continue again and again. We invite you to sign up for as many of these programs in a row as you see fit.
Maintenance Program
After completing the 6-Month Program, we invite you to sign up for another 6-Month Program until you feel comfortable with accountability. The Maintenance Program is offered as a simple way to maintain your newly improved lifestyle habits. You will need to complete at least one 6-Month Program to be considered for the Maintenance Program. In this once a month session, you will meet with your Health Coach for one hour. You’ll go over any new discoveries or challenges and discuss the best ways to adjust as you move forward through life.
If you are looking for a Reiki Master, I offer one-hour sessions. I also teach all three levels of Reiki.
