Exploring Life & Business with Jordan Taylor of Jordan’s Virtual Desk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Taylor.

Hi Jordan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jordan’s Virtual Desk came to life right after the pivotal moment of graduating college in the middle of a global pandemic. At that time – I was 17, trying to figure out life as many of my fellow worldwide graduates at the time were doing also.

I wanted to create a personal environment that would let me express my personal creativity along with providing services that would help the businesses in my community & worldwide while also helping the beautiful creative people behind each business.

January 27th of 2022, I started to imagine what that would look like for me visually along with how I could even do that!

Through a close friend- I was introduced to a certified OBM Ashley Weigl who helped me to brainstorm the services I could provide just by recounting her experiences as a freelancer. This one call provided me with enough courage & confidence to jump in head first, fearless.

Fast forward to March 25 of 2022 – Jordan’s Virtual Desk was built and I excitedly revealed it to my friends, family, and the public. After that, I was able to officially get my start with my first set of clients through Ashley – the same OBM I mentioned before.

At such a young age, working alongside Ashley, her husband Brett, and their team – it really helped me to grow and give me the real-world experience I needed after just coming out of college.

This experience allowed me to feel comfortable enough to fully step on my own path. Upon doing so, I’ve experienced many challenges, setbacks and many stressful midnights. However, I’ve been able to find some of the most amazing business owners in my local community & even further who help to make my job rewarding.

I’ve gotten through them with first my wonderful Mother who continuously listens to me as I brainstorm repeatedly & my closest friends who stick by me as I tackle whatever comes my way.

I’ve recently had the privilege to celebrate the accomplishment of one full year of business. I can confidently say that everything does eventually works out as long as you remain subject to change.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No career path comes with a free ride – there will be a lot of bumps in the way. Some of the challenges I’ve faced along the way have been trying to adapt to the continuous change in the needs of business owners. It’s very important for me to remain subject to change in every facet of my life so professionally, I’ve adapted my services to accommodate the need. To do so I’m always teaching myself new tips and tricks along with taking online classes to help me to polish my skills and become a master in my craft.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Jordan’s Virtual Desk?
Here at Jordan’s Virtual Desk, we focus on helping businesses grow and flourish while maintaining and increasing brand awareness. As a young person who’s growing in the transitional age of technology- I use my age to my advantage. I use the new software of our time daily to build, create and fulfill projects for my clients.

My business specializes in social media management, graphic creation, email and calendar management along with much more. Using the new technology of today helps me to continuously be able to provide the best for my clients in the least amount of time.

I truly believe age is not a factor as long as you are committed to continuously learning.

What’s next?
As I grow I want my business to grow with me. I’m nineteen currently so as I start to walk in my twenties in the coming year, I want to shine a light on the brands that are positively affecting their community, interesting individuals who are making an impact, important topics that effect our community, and the things I love through journalistic writing. Writing has been and will always be something I’m very passionate about – it has saved me in some of my most deepest moments and it’s the way we can all connect.

As I continue to grow, my business will visually change as well. It’s very important for me to go with the flow and remain subject to change in many parts of my life – however the principles and foundations I’ve laid at 18 – in one of the most transitional parts of my life at my little white desk will always stay the same.
