Exploring Life & Business with Liz Fitch of Partini’s Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Fitch.

Hi Liz, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As we all moved through our new lives with Covid and learning how to navigate life, it brought about great challenges and change for Partini’s. Lack of revenue, celebrations, staff changing careers, we were all deciding on how to move forward. As mentioned in our first interview last year, investing in your team first definitely made the difference during this trying time for us. I can say because of them, I was actually able to open a new mobile location on the West Coast. This is Partini’s after COVID.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The challenges surmounted as the world changed and priorities changed for all of us. Most small businesses, even with help from SBA or local organizations, unfortunately had to close their doors. Our business is Mobile, which saves on overhead expenses, but it did not change the fact that the world was on hold for gatherings. Staffing was one of the biggest challenges in both cities. Interviewing potential staff members that were excited to get back to serving was refreshing, getting them to show up was another challenge.

My core staff of Atlanta decreased to 4, but they held Partini’s stability with their loyalty and dedication. Prior to COVID, because of our industry, we already had food/health safety and sanitation standards/policies in place, so adding a few PPE accessories to our dress code was an easy adjustment. This provided both our staff and clients assurance that, that we were in this together.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Partini’s Atlanta provides professional bartending and catering services for Weddings, Corporate, Festivals, Grand Openings, Wrap Parties, and Public and Private Events. Partini’s company slogan is “Pride in the Pour”. Upon concluding interviews with potential team members, they are all asked to define the slogan for themselves. This sets us apart, it starts with us. Then it’s reflected, from the first customer interactions, with any of our team members, to the completion of service.

I may be the owner, but we all own this business. A few lessons I have learned:

1. I have learned to replace the word “I”, with the word “we”.
2. Take care of both clients and staff, not one over the other.
3. Everyone has potential.
4. We are all having a human experience, so meet people where they are.

I want the world to know the glass is half full. This business is about celebrating life, occasions and people. The beauty of this business is that it brings people together from all walks of life. With that said, it is possible to genuinely be kind to everyone you meet.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I will always say thank you and shoutout my son and daughter, sisters, parents and close friends. My repeat clients that return every year, whether it’s for the same or a new occasion, this speaks life and volume into Partini’s. I continue to surround myself with other successful entrepreneurs in the local area, and learn a great deal from them. I support local small businesses and believe in doing so, it builds a strong network, leading to a stronger networth. Quality people over quantity is vital to success in your network.
