Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Leonard.
Hi Amber, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My husband Darren started dancing and doing private parties in April of 2011. I helped him with everything. After he had been dancing and doing private parties for other companies, he decided that he wanted to start his own booking agency. I said, ‘okay, let’s do it’. I’m Aug. of 2016, we purchased our domain. For his birthday in Nov. of 2016 we went and incorporated our business. I worked and reworked the look of the website from in Aug through Dec. that year. We started out with maybe 20 male and female Chicago entertainers on the website. Jan of 2017 was our grand opening. We got a lot of bookings in Chicago but we needed to expand because we were getting calls for other cities. So we had a mass hiring. By the end of 2017, we have 100+ dancers available on our website. From there, we continued to promote take calls and book dancers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh um, Yes and No. Yes, because the thought process for everything has been smooth. Darren will tell me what he wants or gives direction. I will execute and when I bring it to him for final approval he’s happy with it or it only needs minor changes. No, because there’s seasons to this business. From March through October. We are booked and busy. But once Nov hits, bookings definitely slow down due to the holidays.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are an Adult Entertainment Booking Agency. We have dancers across the country available for private parties and events. They are also available for travel. Show lasts 45 minutes to an hour. Pricing starts at $300 depending on dancer and location of party/event. I’m most proud of my brand because it’s ours nobody made it. We did this on our own. And what makes us different from other agencies is that we send you who you book. Not just who’s available. You see actual pictures of the actual dancer you are booking.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my family’s happiness. When my family is happy and have what they want and need, it will accomplished and happy with myself.
