Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Harris.
Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love for hair and really anything beauty related started when I was a little girl. I remember being 11 or 12 doing both my sisters as well as my own hair. That passion followed me into my early adult years and at that point, I knew that I had to make this my career. In 2014 I enrolled into cosmetology school, where I would later receive my cosmetology license. Years went by of me just doing hair, but not fully giving my all in order to reach my fullest potential. I’ve always had such a great support system, always motivating and encouraging me, but 2020 would prove to be the year I took the biggest leap of faith in expanding my brand. I went on to open my shop with the vision to grow GlamdbyAshley into a brand, a household name, an experience!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to get to this point hasn’t been the easiest, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I want to fully enjoy every step of this journey. I would say building my clientele has been a bit of a process, but like they always say, pressure makes diamonds and in my opinion, this is no different. My work and passion for making women feel beautiful speaks for itself!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed Cosmetologist. I do a little of everything, but I specialize in sleek extended ponytails and custom units. What sets me apart from others is my love for anything “Glamorous, “girly, and pink! Lol, I feel a woman’s hair is her crown. That’s one of the things that she takes great pride in. To me, getting “Glamdbyashley “ is an experience! From the time you arrive for your appointment. I make everyone feel like they are a returning client, even if it’s my first time meeting you. To your reaction to how much you love your hair once I’m done. That’s why I do this! I love for women to feel beautiful.
