Hidden Gems: Meet Brianni Walker of Assist Me VA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianni Walker.

Hi Brianni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my virtual assistant business in January 2022 while working as a full-time third-grade teacher. Once I got to a place where I had to choose between working full-time and building my business, I chose to invest in my business full-time. I left my teaching job at the conclusion of the school year in June 2022. I transitioned to a virtual assistant agency in August 2022 and have been building my agency since then. I launched a coaching program for aspiring virtual assistants in January 2023 where I help women lay the foundation for a successful virtual assistant business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles was the transition from a solo virtual assistant to a virtual assistant agency. Besides the fact that this was new territory for me, I struggled with opening up my business to additional support from others. Many may think that this is odd for someone who is in the business of business support however, this was a challenge for me. I cringed at the thought of outsourcing support to business owners in my name. I didn’t want to risk the chance of my brand or reputation being tarnished.

We’ve been impressed with Assist Me VA, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own and operate a virtual assistant agency. We specialize in providing top-rated virtual assistant professionals to business owners in the digital marketing industry. This includes social media managers, influencers, copywriters, etc. The most unique part of our business is the work we put behind matching a business owner with a suitable virtual assistant. In the beginning, clients work with me for the first 6-8 weeks, allowing me to get an understanding of their business and needs. This insight allows my team and I to choose a virtual assistant that fits the owner. Our retainer packages start at just $1,000 for 20 hours per month. Additionally, I offer private one-to-one coaching services for women interested in starting their virtual assistant businesses.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing that people may not know about me is that my one true passion is children and early learning. I love the process of molding and developing a child from birth to school age. I’ve studied and worked in a variety of settings with young children and have enjoyed every moment of it. My dream is to own and operate a multi-site childcare center in my hometown.
