Hi Kala, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In an awful divorce, I left corporate America to find a new trade to do something entirely different. I enrolled in the Atlanta School of Massage in Dunwoody, GA with no idea that this career choice would heal me in major ways such as in Mind, Body, and Spirit. I was blessed to start my work experience by being mentored by Tracy Gazzola and Cynthia Hawthorn of Healing Hands based in Douglasville, GA. These ladies were a blessing. I will forever be grateful to them and here we are 13 years later, I’ve worked for luxury resorts, 5-star hotels, and the Serenbe community.
My client base covers an extensive range of people from all walks of life. For example, your everyday neighbor to high-profile celebrities, athletes, and film crews. All of my clients are seeking the same results, from stress relief, balance, or intense bodywork.
What I love about my practice is that we cater to ALL PEOPLE! I was the first Pure Sculpt Specialist in Atlanta now, we have several specialists in the metro area. This past summer, I recently trained with the Amazing Angie Soto to learn authentic Maderoterapia (Wood Therapy). I am currently teaching a few days a week at a local massage school in the Atlanta Metro area which is truly an honor to pay it forward.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
OMG! NOT ALL! The week I opened the United States SHUT DOWN, so the new normal is still an adjustment, when we did open things were slow to pick up. Then there was a nice flow and now we are almost back to that stagnation, but in life, things happen. Challenges occur the whole world has changed so you must PIVOT as well. I am presently working on products for home care for clients who are not ready to come into a facility, online courses, traveling, and offering CEU’s. When you intentionally build the right environment the right people will come. I never worry about the outcome I always FOCUS on the possibilities.

I’m most proud that I set out to start a brand build a business and that’s exactly what I am doing… STICKING TO THE PLAN
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was eating at Long John Silvers and Dairy Queen with my grandfather and the interesting conversations we shared which were life skills training, now that I am older, I can reflect and implement the strategies I learned during our interactions.
