Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa S. Jones.
Hi Lisa S., it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The memory and legacy of my mother is my inspiration which lead to eventually launching my company. During the time of my mother’s passing, it gave me a chance to redefine my life’s direction and purpose. It was also during this time; I began to dig deeper in the value & impact of communications.
I knew I wanted to start my own business, but not sure right away what that would look like. Until one day, I really looked at a marketing email I received from a major retail company and noticed it was black and white, with lots of words and didn’t really compel me to read it. That experience and curiosity lead signing up for 150+ email marketing lists from global Brands. The experience was the same. All the emails in my inbox were either lots of text, a static picture where the image didn’t connect to what they were selling or there was an attachment I had to download. For me, there was nothing in those emails inspiring me to click a link to learn more.
That is what spark the idea, what if email had a personality? What if email was just as engaging as talking to the salesperson in the store? At that moment, the concept of EyeMail was born.
While the concept of EyeMail was to bring email to life, I also saw it was solving a problem in the market. When Brands look at their marketing strategy, they have television, email, website, and / or a physical store. This still wasn’t a 360-brand experience. The experience the customer felt in the store, watching a television commercial or a video on a website, that same energy did not expand into email marketing. Additionally, when Brands did explore adding media into the email, the total file size was too large and most often undelivered or caught in spam folder.
It took some to figure it all out, but we did it. EyeMail’s patent-pending technology can play 60+ UHD videos direct to the email in less than 15K in size. The email automatically plays the video in preview mode or when the email is open, getting the attention of the consumer in the first 5 seconds.
Everything about EyeMail is improving the consumer’s experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With any new technology or innovation, the challenge is constantly educating the market. When I am speaking at a conference or conversing with other thought-leaders, I get asked all the time “the standard industry definition of video in email is a 5 second animated .gif because video is too large for email’. We are not selling a competing service that someone else has, we are selling a service (technology) that no one else has.
The industry has remained status quo for so long, we still encounter disbelief on our offering and the positive results it will yield to increase engagement and conversions. We are committed to continuing to educate our audiences so they can also deliver long-term value to meet their marketing goals.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We believe your messages deserves to be Seen, Heard, and Felt.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was at the age between 4-6 years old while growing up in Alabama, watching my father open and successfully run his ice cream shop in the heart of downtown. Every day was filled with adventure and learning new things. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this experience of seeing my father in this leadership role every day inspired me to know that I could do it one day, as well. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I knew it would happen.
I observed and watched customers come in and out the shop, I watched people standing in line outside the door and wondered why are they just standing there? As they entered the shop, they were greeted with a warm smile and kindness as they placed their order. I noticed the exchange of money and watched as the manual cash register opened and closed repeatedly with transactions. I was like ‘Wow, this is something magical plus each time the register opened there as the sound of a bell that I can still hear today in my memories”; I was beyond intrigued. I watched how the staff engaged in conversations with the customer and would know everyone name as they entered the store. I saw promotional banners for discounts and flavors of the month and watched how more people came into the store on special promotion days.
This was the footprint for the beginnings of my Entrepreneurial journey forward in years to come.
