Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Crosby.
Hi Natalie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in the quaint historical town of Marietta, Georgia my sisters and I spent time alongside our mom repurposing old furniture and hunting for antiques, her life’s passion. Wanting to experience life outside of my hometown my husband and I relocated to Dallas, Texas where I was an Art Gallery Director for eight years; specializing in fine art sales, client relations, marketing, and curating gallery exhibitions. I had the honor of working alongside masterful artists, interior designers, and brilliant creatives leaving me with a love for all things design.
After the birth of our first child, we quickly felt pulled to be closer to family and relocated back to our home state… My husband Taylor and I currently reside in the beautiful community of Lake Oconee, midway between Atlanta and Augusta raising our two children, Witt (5) and Collier (2). Since the start of the pandemic, I discovered my ability to work remotely servicing the Lake Country, the Atlanta area, and my former home city of Dallas, Texas. In 2019, just six months after our return to Georgia, my older sister Kelli was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer… sadly she lost her battle at the age of 39 just a few years later. She was always encouraging me to help bring beauty to people’s lives and homes. Kelli left us with the drive to follow our hearts, chase our dreams and to never settle… She is the inspiration behind my business and having a creative outlet is an important component to my grief journey. In January 2022, I took a leap of faith and launched Natalie Crosby Consulting.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A little over a year into NCC, I’m grateful to say it has been a smooth transition serving clients on my own. I am able to serve my client’s specific needs based on their unique vision for their space with no boundaries. We can work together to create a place they are proud of and want to spend their time. Most people know how they want their space to look and feel, they just have a hard time executing it … and that’s where I come in!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
NCC is a Fine Art & Interiors Consulting business specializing in helping others bring beauty to their spaces using original art, rare furnishings, and a mix of artful textiles. Cultivating a relationship between pre-existing collectibles and marrying them with new, contemporary design elements. Working together to create the story behind your unique style and elevating your vision. NCC offers full-service design or refresh to an existing space, from start to finish we will work together to bring your dream to life.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
It’s important to take risks when it comes to interior design. Find items that move you and make you feel emotionally connected. Some of the greatest architects and designers have made their stamp on history by taking risks and incorporating unique, never-before-seen design elements. I love when a client puts trust in the creative process and allows me to go beyond the norm, it’s what drives my passion for design.
