Nichole Black is an entrepreneur, Licensed and a Business Consultant of the Gulf Coast area. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Nichole is fueled by her passion to help others and has done so through her career as a Disaster Claims Auditor and Adjuster. She continues her efforts to assist by mentoring tax professionals through her tax preparation and consultation firm Jackson Enterprises. Operating Jackson Enterprises for the past 9 years has given her the knowledge base to offer clients, preparers, and fellow business owners great insight into the world of financial planning and preparation. In addition to maintaining a career and independent business, Nichole is mother to two daughters, ages 16 and 21. When she isn’t assisting Gulf Coast business owners with operations setup, and Notary Services, she is navigating and guiding her daughters on solid paths in life.
Nichole contributes to her community by providing financial planning and tax preparation education to individuals in Mobile and surrounding counties. This education helps promote financial literacy to individuals that encourages them to break financial constraints and recognize their earning and saving potential. With the help of others, financial assistance, and dedication of program participants this could lead to financial independence for many families in our local area.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has not been smooth. I’ve gone through the struggles of a normal modern-day woman. Divorce, Layoffs, Business woes, COVID and a multitude of other things.

Jackson Enterprises is a firm that educates the community, the consumer and tax professionals. I know it sounds simple, but it was my goal to be one of the good guys while preparing taxes. There are so many scammers and flight by nights in the industry, I wanted to be someone the consumer can depend on. Our firm is known for educating consumers and small businesses regarding taxes and financial planning and other business services such as business setup. Our firm is known for integrity and great morals. I am proud that this hobby that supplemented my income has grown to be the powerhouse it is today. In 2019, I was able to walk away from a very lucrative job making six figures. But the excitement for me was the fact that I could work the hours I wanted to work and be a more available mom to my children. I want the readers to know that our company specializes in making sure our clients are educated about taxes so we can progress as a community and move forward with learning about financial literacy. We can prepare your Individual Taxes, Business taxes and provide Notary Services when needed while doing this all year.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I take risks all the time. It is in my blood. If they do not work out, that’s fine. It just shows you how to decide which path to take. I have always taken major risks in my personal and professional lives. They have all worked out for my best interest, including the ones that did not pan out.
