Hi Nita, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am originally from Chicago, IL and have always been an intuitive type, I have been coaching since my teenage years to friends and family, with the state of the world, I chose to open up and share my gift with the world. I always knew I was meant to be a therapist and coach, but I decided to do the “expected” thing and get a job in Corporate America. That move left me uninspired coupled with the practice, politics and Good Ole Boy network, I knew I needed to get control of my life and pursue my purpose of becoming a personal and business coach for the masses. I am and have always been the one that total strangers gravitate toward and start conversations detailing their secrets, to which I listen and offer guidance, this literally happens to me all of the time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My road has been pretty smooth, of course there were a few growing pains that come with every new business. Being a new name you must market to get momentum moving so people not only know you but genuinely trust you. I have had so many friends and family with past experience who are informing others via word of mouth and their specific social media platforms that getting new clients has not been as challenging for me as it could have been.
We’ve been impressed with Zen Reset, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Life/Business Strategist – what is that? The definition of a life coach is a professional who helps you reach a goal or make a change in your life. We help you to get out of your head and start taking action in the areas of your life that you wish to change. I specialize in people who do not fit in, those who can not relate to a coach in a suit and tie, those who do not feel comfortable talking to those outside of their circle, those that know they must unlearn certain ideals and replace those with others that are parallel with their true purpose. I myself have hair that is often colored in vibrant colors, I have tattoos, piercings and speak regular relatable English. People connect to me on a deeper level because we are aligned, I GET them like they GET me.
I am truly proud of the fact that my brand is always authentic as well as transparent and the fact that my coaching gift is not about me but about US as a whole.
