Hidden Gems: Meet Stefanie Adler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Adler.

Hi Stefanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When people ask me how I got started on the path where I am today, I have to go back to a time I can’t even remember. My mom says that even as a baby, I always had a stomach ache. What I do remember is calling to be picked up from school with a stomach ache, feeling uncertain about sleepovers and birthday parties, and missing out on so many things I wanted to do because I didn’t feel well for most of my childhood. I remember being in and out of doctors’ offices, getting every test imaginable, being given meds (that didn’t do much or had terrible side effects), and a helpless diagnosis. IBS, alongside with a “sorry, learn to live with it, we can’t really help you.”

I was never too fond of authority (entrepreneurship was really my only path, haha) so I didn’t accept that prognosis, especially as a young teen, I had so much life ahead of me. There had to be another way. So I found one. Despite my doctor’s doubts that it would help, I made a bold choice to change my diet and see what happened.

Within three months, most of the symptoms I’d been having for almost 13 years disappeared. I had my life back.

Since then, I have been in awe of the body, its desire, and its ability to heal, as well as ever grateful to food for being my medicine. At such a young age, it became clear to me. Food can be medicine or the catalyst for ‘dis-ease’ in the body.

Fast forward almost a decade later. I have an undergraduate degree in Conflict Resolution and am working on another degree in Holistic Nutrition, and I bring attention to another area of my health I had always thought about but never really questioned the status quo on, my hormonal health and fertility. One day in school as we were learning about the side effects of hormonal birth control, I had another light bulb moment.

I had been on an oral contraceptive for a decade. Could it be an explanation for my anxiety? How might it be impacting my future fertility?

(Confession: I used to be so worried about my fertility that my mom used to ask psychics about it on my behalf! Being a mom has been my greatest dream, and the idea I couldn’t be was my absolute greatest fear.)

I decided to go off the pill and see what happened. What happened was “Post Birth Control Syndrome”. My period was MIA for months, I had puberty level acne and no idea what was going on or how to connect to what my body was feeling. As a result, I dedicated my time, studies, and energy to learning everything I could about the female body, about female hormones, and biochemistry. I was determined to heal my hormones + boost my fertility naturally, so I dived deep into the world of women’s health, hormones, and the fertility journey.

When I graduated with a degree in Nutritional Consulting from Bauman College, I gained a reputation as an expert in the field of women’s wellness. I then also decided to become a birth doula to fully understand the whole process and learn how to support women throughout their journeys holistically.

What started as an Instagram sharing healthy recipes turned into a multi 6 figure business helping women around the world from all walks of life, providing education and guidance on living a holistically healthy balanced life!

Today, Stefanie Adler Wellness is a global business that has supported over 23 women in getting pregnant and having healthy babies in the past two years alone, as well as having helped hundreds of other women find hormone happiness and gut health harmony. By helping women balance their hormones and become experts of their own bodies, I help women take control of their lives.

We offer private coaching and group programs so that every woman can tap into the type of support she needs. Having served over 200+ women in our programs, we are always striving to provide the most personalized and supportive services in the industry.

I have now started a certification program to help other coaches learn the menstrual cycle superpowers and help them apply it to their work with their clients.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. My own hormone struggles were especially challenging, especially since there wasn’t a program like the one I’ve created, The Well Woman Collective, to help me get all the information I needed in one organized place.

I love supporting women and also find business very interesting. However, in the beginning days of building my business, I struggled to bring the two together. I had so many side hustles along the way to pay the bills (data entry jobs, private chef work, contracted community-building work, slinging produce at the farmers market, nannying, to name a few). After investing in support from Business Coaches, I’ve been able to overcome the struggles of building a successful online business and have been able to grow and support more women along the way as a result.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Stefanie Adler Wellness is a coaching practice that supports women thriving in the modern world through holistic health and wellness. We offer customized coaching experiences, either privately or in community settings, and specialize in helping women balance their hormones, improve their fertility (get pregnant/stay pregnant) and also support gut health as it’s deeply connected to the hormone systems. We are in the business of thriving women, healthy pregnancies, healthy mothers, and healthy babies and offer post-conception support as well.

So many women come to us after the conventional system has failed them. I work with women who have PCOS, Endometriosis, Hashimotos, or many other endocrine-disrupting disorders and offer an alternative to what they’ve been doing, sometimes for years, without success.

We also work with women who “feel something isn’t right” but are often gaslighted when they look for answers. Whether that is to clear acne, reduce bloat, have a pain-free and symptom-free period, have a regular period, or be able to conceive and carry a pregnancy to full term, we believe in and see daily the magic inside the female body. We know that when given the right ingredients, the right combination of nutrition, lifestyle practices, and supplements, the body will almost always come back to balance and perform the way we desire it to.

What sets us apart from others is the level of attention we give to each client. Women like working with us because we get results. After 5+ years of coaching, Stefanie has a knack for knowing when you need hand-holding, tough love or the perfect combination of coaching styles to give you to make sure that your success is inevitable and sustainable.

I am most proud of how many referrals we get because it shows how our clients get results (and of our continuously growing baby photo wall!)

We have worked with women who have been told that getting pregnant naturally would be impossible or a challenge for them. We work with women who’ve experienced pregnancy loss, ectopic pregnancies, and women who have had challenging experiences when undergoing fertility treatments. Most of these women are now pregnant or mamas to healthy babies as a result of our work together.

Some examples of successes we see in clients who are undergoing fertility treatments are Higher numbers of eggs during retrievals (a most recent 37-year-old with 25 retrieved and 21 fertilized), higher fertilization rates, less abnormal embryos, higher transfer rates.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was a very curious kid. I loved to read and learn (still do!). I also really loved to cook. I used to have my sister act as my camerawoman on our family camcorder and record food network-inspired ‘cooking shows’. Staying Fit with Stefanie was a ‘cooking show’ where I would make your family’s favorite treats healthier! Fortunately, no one but my immediate family has seen it to date, as I was mostly in my pj’s and still had braces. But maybe one day we’ll revisit it for a future show 😉
