Today we’d like to introduce you to Aden Little.
Aden, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was six years old I asked my dad to buy me a video game. He said okay but I would have to earn it. So I told my mom and she said, “why don’t you come up with a business to make you some money?” So I thought about it all night and I figured I would sell Lemonade since I liked lemonade and who doesn’t love lemonade? My mom helped me come up with my recipe and we had a taste test to make sure it was good. She helped me decide what bottle I should put the juice in and my dad helped me with my logo and promotions. I started an Instagram page and told people I was going to sell lemonade and sold 100 jars in a week. So then I decided since I like cookies too I should sell them and that’s how I started selling cookies. The recipe came from my dad fooling around in the kitchen. He always says if I put love in it they’ll be good but I haven’t seen love in the store yet.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My biggest struggle is just trying to fit it all in. I play sports too and a lot of times I have games on days when a lot of events go on, so being in more than one place is tough but with the help of my parents I manage it well. And lately I had to slow down due to the pandemic, we didn’t want to be exposed or expose anyone.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Well, I’m Aden and I’m now nine years old. I started my business when I was six. I make and sell lemonade, cookies and clothing. Since I sell lemonade most people call me the “juice kid” and since they were saying it so much I asked my mom could I sell t-shirts too since my idol Travis Scott sold his merch I wanted to sell mine too. I came up with the saying “I Got The Juice” and put it on a few shirts and people started asking if I had more so I started selling more of them.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
My most important lesson is to be nice to people and they will support you. I thank each person for supporting my business and try to help people as much as I can.
