Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Wilcox.
Hi Cassandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started creating custom t-shirts back in 2018 and business was so good that in 2019 I was able to quit my 9-5 and start my new company, BLANKS GALORE, where I wholesale sublimation blanks to the crafting world. But in actuality, that was the wrong thing to do because I had no money saved and made a life-changing decision, all because I had a good streak for a week. The apartment I was crafting and making my t-shirts in, I already didn’t have a bed because I turned my bedroom into my craft room so I can have all the room I needed to fulfill my custom orders and also wholesale my sublimation blanks. But then sales started getting so slow that my rent got behind.
Well, you know how that ended. I had to move out my only apartment, get a hotel room and then go rent out two storages to store my inventory out of, that way I’m still able to work. But I didn’t understand why this was happening to me, why was I constantly going in circles?? All I wanted to do was craft and do what I love the most. This was the 2nd storage in less than a year that I had to move in and out of and all around I just felt like a complete failure. I felt unstable, I didn’t have a plan, it seemed like no one wanted to help me, and everywhere I turned it seemed like my back was against the wall! But it wasn’t until one morning I went to the storage unit and seen a whole family staying inside of the storage… right next to the storage I was using to work out of. That was my breaking point because I knew that if I gave up then that could easily be my situation next. Thank God I still had orders coming in, so I stopped complaining and instantly started making the best out of the situation I was in.
I started crafting and fulfilling orders out the hotel I was staying in, I got up every morning and started packing and shipping my wholesale orders out of this storage like it was my own mini warehouse. I even started teaching paid online crafting classes from my hotel, showing others how to also make custom shirts, just so I could use that extra income to make ends meet. Although I cried every night, I still woke up every morning with a smile on my face thanking that man above… because my situation could have been worse. So that was my routine for months… I grinded from sun up to sun down and then in April 2020 I had a major breakthrough. That pandemic was a blessing in disguise. My sales increased overnight in every area of my business I was running, I went from making 1k a week to making 5 digits a week! I paid off all my debt, paid off all my loans, and my credit score shot up from a 550 to a 730. My online courses went from 200 students to over 800 students enrolled in my paid courses.
Fast forward to Dec 1, 2020, a month before the New Years, I got approved for my own 5,000+ square foot warehouse, with my own conference rooms, multiple offices, my own staff. All while consistently hitting six figure months, pushing out my newest product BG sublimation paper, while still selling sublimation blanks, custom t-shirts, and teaching other entrepreneurs how to become crafters while turning their “hobby into a profit” with my online courses at courses.blanksgalore.com and also my now in person classes in Norcross Ga at the newest BLANKS GALORE HEADQUARTERS. I also have one of the largest free Crafting Facebook group communities BLANKS GALORE UNIVERSITY, where we offer free classes showing new entrepreneurs how to also make custom items, and recently I started another online course training showing individuals how to get into the wholesaling business. So all around I’m glad that everything happened the way it did because it was preparing to get me where I am today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not, but those struggles molded me into the successful entrepreneur that I am today. My main struggle was quitting my job with no money saved and watching my child have to struggle all because of the decisions I made. We had no where to go, shoot at one point I even thought about sleeping in our storage unit because the hotel room we had to stay in was getting to expensive to manage but thank God for giving me strength to keep going. That’s when I realized the real struggle is in the mind… if you think you cant, then you won’t. But if you believe the impossible and put the work behind it, then the impossible will happen.

Blanks Galore started out in a small apartment with just customizing t-shirts. Then we started providing the crafting industry with sublimation blanks, but as we continued to grow we then became this family oriented Facebook group community that now offers online sublimation classes as well as in person hands on sublimation classes. We also offer the world’s greatest sublimation BG paper, sublimation blanks and now we offer online training showing you how to get into the wholesale crafting business.
What sets Blanks Galore apart from others is that we are dedicated to giving crafters the necessary education and skillset to turn their hobby into a flourishing business. While providing them the tools needed to be successful at it. I don’t believe in luck, I believe that your actions determine your fate. Successful people, although their paths to success may be different, there are always common traits and habits.
