Hi Jocelyn, it’s honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Well, to start from the beginning, I got started designing weddings and events with my Aunt Verdice growing up. She had a wedding planning business and Her Father is a florist. Basically, I grew up surrounded by weddings and flowers! I never thought of it to be my calling until I moved to Atlanta from Albany, GA in 2013. My friend Kimberli saw a baby shower I designed for my best friend and literally gave me the extra push to walk into my passion. This is how Unforgettable Events Atlanta. It came to be! I honestly love making other people’s dreams come true through design and implementation. It is definitely my calling.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh no! Nothing worth having is ever simple to achieve! I’ve definitely experienced the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur and small business owner. We’ve had a time where we had nothing on the books, to being completely booked. 2020 has truly showed me that no matter what, we will come out on top! Though we slowed down at the beginning of the pandemic, we are gradually picking back up. And I’m truly grateful for our past, current and future clients. We have gone from being overlooked to overbooked!

We specialize in wedding decor and planning, as well as all other special events. We offer full-service planning and decor. We have a full staff of vendors from venues, stationary, photographers, catering and much more to help make your special day Unforgettable. What sets us apart from others in the industry is that we treat each client like family, and I personally look at each event as my own. I design it like how I would want my wedding, baby shower, or birthday party to be! That personal touch and getting to know your clients is what keeps them coming back in the future. We want our clients to know that the Unforgettable Events experience doesn’t end on the wedding day, we will be there for every need that you have afterwards as well, for every baby shower and birthday to come.
What does success mean to you?
Seeing the reactions on my client’s faces when they see the outcome of their event! No amount of money could compare to that feeling of accomplishment. I know then that all my time and effort was worth it. Making an impact on someone’s life is what makes me successful and blessed.
