Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne Hellman.
Hi Brianne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After spending the majority of my career as an event planner in New York City, my family and I relocated to the Atlanta area at the end of 2019, just before COVID changed the event industry forever. After being forced to take a year off from event planning, I was at a crossroads trying to decide my next career move within the industry. I have always had a love for events, but I felt compelled to switch gears and push myself out of my comfort zone. That crossroad felt like an opportunity for a new beginning. Last summer, events were starting to have a life again, people were looking for ways to once again connect with loved ones, opening their homes to celebrate life’s big moments with family and friends. I noticed there was a need for accessible modern and fun rental offerings in our area, especially for children’s parties and social events. From there, Party Bound was born and it’s been an adventure ever since!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I’m not sure any road in life is ever smooth. There are certainly struggles I encounter on this journey, like most. Being a mom to three young children while building a business in the event industry is not easy. I’m constantly conflicted about how I spend my time as I am often on the clock, especially on weekends. I make extra efforts to build in quality time through the week if I know that certain weekends are very busy, and even then I worry that it’s not enough. But I really try to remind myself that all of this hard work is for me and my family. While it may not be easy, this is living life and we power through the struggles and celebrate the wins as best possible!

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I believe in the importance of networking with other businesses in your industry. I’ve enjoyed meeting so many other business owners just like myself, touring their warehouses, and understanding how they run their operations. The event industry takes so much time and hard work, and each vendor involved in an event is really part of a bigger team. I think it’s so beneficial to know one another and support each other which often leads to mentorship, client referrals, and friendship!
