Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Ward.
Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina. I moved to Georgia for better work opportunities than I had back at home. I was a single mother at the time and just wanted more for me and my son. I lucked up getting a job at a local hospital; however, after a few years, I came to the realization that I was unhappy. Although I had a great job and wonderful coworkers, I saw that I was just content and comfortable in that position. I started to explore the beauty industry as skincare and beauty has been my love for so long.
My passion for skincare in particular actually started by trying to treat and heal my own skin condition, eczema. It’s something I’ve had to deal with since childhood. It took years to develop my own regimen to keep control of my skin. It felt amazing to be able to get control of something I’ve always struggled with and I wanted to give other people that same feeling.
I wanted to go to beauty school right after high school but I didn’t get a lot of support from my family. I finally felt it was my time to make my own choice and decided to enroll myself in the Esthetics Program at the Elaine Sterling Institute. I worked full time while taking night classes. It was hard balancing school, work and motherhood but I made it happen. The experience was amazing and I was able to gain a ton of experience and knowledge by working at the spa while in school.
After graduating from the Elaine Sterling Institute and passing my state boards, I opened up my own business. I have had the pleasure of helping my clients love their own skin, naturally, since opening my doors in 2018.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It wasn’t always a smooth process. I didn’t know how to run a business or even know the process of opening one but I did my research and figured out everything steps by step.
Gaining clients at first was a challenge. I have figured out the best strategy for me and my business and have had the pleasure serving many wonderful individuals over the years.
Work-life balance is still something I struggle with today. I am now a mother and step-mommy to four boys, a wife and a business owner while still working a full-time job. I find myself pulling myself in many different directions but I hope to be able to work for myself full time soon.

- Signature Facial – $85 – This signature service is our custom take on the classic European-style facial. It has it all and works towards improving your skins overall health and appearance.
