Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Grier.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The journey started in the beginning of 2020. I was working for a logistics and warehousing company while working out and training to play professional football. During that time, I wanted to live in my purpose. That’s when I started my personal training journey at E.F.F.E.C.T Fitness. Since I’ve began my journey, I have changed the bodies and lives of over 75 people, began my online presence for my fitness and clothing line, and became one of the newest bootcamp instructors for our popular HIIT classes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The path has had a few bumps in the road. Gaining the trust of people through training and hoping they are comfortable in this environment, all while you are new to the industry.
Understanding the importance of social media as a market, outreach for clientele, and branding your business has also been a struggle. The pressures of posting on social media and creating content for my target audience wasn’t a straight path. Recognizing it’s not always about the flashy workouts, but more so functional and educational exercises was key.
Building a training schedule that creates work life balance was a challenge that I have also conquered.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
LBE Fitness consists of strong individuals that choose to Lead By Example. LBE is for leaders, for the vulnerable, but not for the weak. It is to give others the platform to help build their self-esteem and feel strong when sometimes they may not. Actions speak louder than words at LBE Fitness. My brand caters to anyone who wants to feel empowered and strong within their day-to-day. What I am most proud about brand-wise is the consistent growth of my client’s process and my brand from where it first started to where it is today.
LBE fitness offerings include: group training, personal training, and virtual training. I also train athletes for strength and conditioning.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advise to people starting this career path is to be hungry and have time and patience. For your social media outreach, you need to be making and posting content 3-5 times a week with hashtags and explaining the purpose of the workout. Also, understand that this is not a quick hustle, you have to constantly grind and stay connected with current and future clientele.
