Hi Ramese Marcel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My venture into fitness was not intentional as a career. I was actually pursuing a career in the music industry with a dream of starting my own record label.
However, I needed to make money and meet people in order to accomplish this once I moved to Atlanta in 1992. As a result, I got a job at a gym called Australian Body Works in Atlanta because I always had a strong interest in fitness and it gave me the flexibility to work and still be able to pursue my music dream.
As you can see, this was over 30 years ago, so this journey was filled with a tremendous amount of ups & downs, victories and losses along the way to me finding my purpose.
After years and years of resistance, I’ve finally accepted that I’m here to help others deal with life’s trials and tribulations by telling my story and showing others how fitness has literally saved my life and can do the same for them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all!
The fact that it wasn’t smooth was a major obstacle that took years for me to get over. The fact that I’m on the other side of those issues is a huge victory.
I literally have had almost every struggle you could imagine. Anxiety, depression, finances, food addiction (I gained over 70 pounds), fought off suicidal thoughts and much more.
The funny thing is, now that I’m mentally and physically healthy again, I wouldn’t change a thing because I’m proud of overcoming those obstacles and who I’ve become and continue to try to be.

I’ve created a workout system called The Mood Workouts. I specialize in helping people create a fitness process for themselves that is sustainable, scalable and something they can do forever, particularly if they are new to fitness and struggle with consistency.
