Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Hill.
Amber, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all began with my mother. You see she was empathic and claircognizant, but I never heard my mom use the words Psychic or empathic. She would have these unexplainable feelings when something was about to happen.
She was the one who would interpret my dreams and cultivate my abilities in her own way. She never told me that I was psychic, but I’m sure she felt like it was something that I had to come to on my own. What she did do was confirm to me that we came from a line of “Gifted women.” I had no idea how that simple admission to me so many years ago would be so empowering to me later on in my life.
Like most people, for many years I was caught up trying to deal with relationships, bills, kids, my business, my broken pieces and everything else that tends to distract us from tapping into our true selves. It took the end of a marriage for me to do what I should have been doing all along and that was doing my work! For me, that meant getting centered, focused and tapped into the core of who I am. This allowed me to begin to heal my broken pieces and work on my self sabotaging behaviors. Doing my work is what made my psychic abilities expand beyond my wildest dreams.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, I can’t say that my road has been an easy one. I have overcome a lot in my life to be the woman I am today. I have been out on my own since I was 14 years old and I am also sexual abuse and rape survivor.
I don’t think some people understand what sexual abuse and trauma do to the soul. It affects how you feel about yourself. It can govern every aspect of your life even the relationships you have with others. For me, it affected my self-esteem, confidence and it left me with feelings of worthlessness and shame. It took me many years to heal and repair the damage that was done to my soul. To be honest, our healing work is never done and we all need tune-ups along our journey.
I would say you are stronger than you think you are. You are braver than you believe you are. You are capable of greatness beyond your wildest dreams. The best investment you will ever make is in yourself! Your emotional well being is important. There is no shame in asking for help from doctors, therapist or life coaches if you need it. That doesn’t make you weak, that makes you powerful. Loving yourself means investing in self-care and healing.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of. What sets you apart from others?
Today, I am known as The Psychic Life Coach. What sets me apart from other life coaches is that as a Psychic Life Coach, my goal is to help you re-imagine your life and let go of thoughts and behaviors that undermine you, so that a renewed and fulfilled you can emerge. I do this by tapping into your energies, identifying your blocks and offering unique solutions specifically tailored to you based upon those assessments. With extensive experience in life coaching along with my psychic abilities, my individualized approach will help you attain your goals.
As I mentioned before my practice has expanded from not just offering life coaching sessions, but also psychic readings and Psychic Development 101 workshops. That’s why I re-branded myself and my company from B’Nspired Life Coaching Services LLC to B’Nspired Services LLC because I expanded and so has my company. I am however doing what I’ve always done and that’s helping others to look within and find the healing and happiness they deserve. My clients are all over the world because I offer all of my services virtually so, there are no barriers to service. The Psychic Development 101 Workshop allows me to mentor other Psychics and teach them how to hone and use their abilities. I understand what it feels like to be black, gifted and feel like you have no one to ask questions of and to learn from. So, helping other Light Workers along their journey is a full-circle moment for me. This is the passion inside of my passion. You can catch me every Thursday at 10 am est on my YouTube channel dishing the TEA on my show called Tea Talk Thursdays and every Friday morning 9 am-10:30 am est doing a live psychic reading for my followers.
B’Nspired Services LLC also does an annual holiday giveaway. I have sponsored a local family for the past three holidays. This year will make my 4th year doing this and it really is such an amazing experience for not just the families who are chosen, but for the volunteers, business partners and myself every year.
I am very proud of my company and what it offers to not just my clients but also to the world.
There’s a wealth of academic research that suggests that a lack of mentors and networking opportunities for women has materially affected the number of women in leadership roles. Smart organizations and industry leaders are working to change this, but in the meantime, do you have any advice for finding a mentor and building a network?
Any opportunity that I have to network or spread my brand awareness I jump on it. There are a lot of free events or local MeetUp groups that are a great source of information. Also, find someone who is doing what you want to be doing and ask them to be your mentor or at least someone who you can call on if you have questions. Most times I find that people are very happy to speak to someone who is interested in what they are.
