Thanks for sharing your story with us Gabrielle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since burning CDs and coding MySpace pages, I’ve definitely always been in the swing of technology, pop culture, fashion and watching the trends unfold.
In school, I was the kid you could sit anywhere and I’d make a friend. At work, I am a master of customer service. Online, I was super relatable and friendly – and my opinion is real. This seemed like a recipe for success to me.
I decided to go into business for myself and I currently a 9-5er, paying off student loans – dreaming of AND working toward my seven streams of income. I am the Antisocialite – #ContentQueen and #DigitalDiva. Zen Aesthetics is my digital marketing firm – where we throw events, build websites, create content, creative direct and create magic!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. It won’t be going forward either. Entrepreneurship and creativity don’t let you off that easy. But that’s because it’s so rewarding,
Personally, It’s been a long journey. I’m still finding myself – I find her more every day. I lost a lot of my passions years ago – I deleted social media and disconnected from the world. I had to build from scratch again a following in a world where people have had accounts since the BEGINNING of the networks existence. But it just makes me work harder to make genuine and unique content.
My advice to young women following a dream is to ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE. Take care of her, heal her, keep her healthy. She is your guide. She knows what doesn’t feel right – what doesn’t make sense. Trust her. Trust YOU. And forgive you when you make mistakes because you will.

I want to make sure I provide the best experience. I want you to feel GREAT about your investment. Whether that’s your view on my video, your presence at my event, your purchase of a social media marketing plan, the storyboard of your promo video, the design of your website. I listen intently, I analyze what’s given, and I make it aesthetically pleasing!
Presentation isn’t everything but it is damn sure important. It’s a million-dollar industry in the grand scheme of things. I aim to deliver unique ways to set yourself apart and GET YOUR COIN.
There’s a wealth of academic research that suggests that lack of mentors and networking opportunities for women has materially affected the number of women in leadership roles. Smart organizations and industry leaders are working to change this, but in the meantime, do you have any advice for finding a mentor and building a network?
Networking is essentially. You need to know your customers, competition, peers, mentors. You can’t win if you don’t know the game!
Use Facebook to find local networking and industry-specific events, sign up for newsletters and event blogs, follow everyone you hear about on Instagram and ENGAGE, ask questions and most essentially – SHOW UP. I’ve missed so many opportunities that could’ve been THE ONE because I was anxious. Don’t cheat yourself!
