We started Bright Screen Studio in June 2018. The idea for having studio space originated at a networking event about the growing film and music industry in the Atlanta area. After months of research and discussing the idea with many professionals in the film industry, we were able to assemble a great team, who helped us find the right location and shared their knowledge of the business.

Bright Screen Studio is a boutique studio space with 1 stage. When a client rents our space, they have access to the entire facility to themselves. Our stage consists of a large 3-wall Cyc which is rare in Atlanta. Cyc wall lets the client shoot any type of photo or video with a seamless background and no shadows. This type of studio space let’s smaller scale productions like a music video, commercials, and photography to be able to able to produce great content for their budget.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, not at all! We had a very hard time financing. We had to find creative ways and eventually sell some of our personal assets in order to fund the business. One of the struggles we are still facing is with marketing and name recognition. Most production companies are used to going to their favorite studios in Atlanta already, so to get them to try a new studio has proven tricky.

To any women who want to pursue their passion, we would say stay true to yourself. Take one step at a time, do your research and use resources that are available. Network with peers and learn from experiences.

Please tell us about Bright Screen Studio.
Bright Screen Studio is 4200 sq/ft of rental studio space with a large 3-wall Cyc. The Cyc wall measure in 90 ft of total width and is 18 ft high. It is rare to find a Cyc wall with 2 corners with high ceilings in Atlanta. Cyc wall is also pre-light with a powered grid above which gives clients access to lighting options. The studio features a hair and makeup room, client lounge with couches, a loft office space, kitchen, restroom with shower and a large loading dock door. The studio is located in a gated and fenced building with plenty of on-site parking. We are also very close to the Atlanta airport which is a big plus for production teams traveling from other states and countries.
