Life and Work with Jasmine Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Taylor.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out as a little girl wanting to be a teacher, to go to school to be a lawyer. As time went on, I realized I loved being of help. I started working for a non-profit adult education firm in Detroit, MI when I was still in school. Being able to work with a company that helps adults become their best selves was so rewarding. I enjoyed helping keep the program and make great strides. Then, funding was cut and there went a great place of opportunity for those that will not normally have it.

I am a devoted, dedicated, and open-minded businesswoman. She began her education in business at The High School of Commerce and Business. She continued her education at DeVry University where she received her Bachelor Studies in Business Administration. I have been involved in a variety of facets and industries of business. She is also a member of SHRM and the National Association of Professional Women.

While growing with each position, I have been in charge of assisting, assessing, guiding, operating a growing and reforming businesses such as: ERP Professionals, My Hands Your Heart, Inc., Impact United Methodist Church, Zu Enterprises, Keep it Natural Salon, Comprehensive Health Care and many more for over fifteen years.

In 2006, I created Taylored Vision Enterprises (TVE), a business consulting company where she provides her talents and expertise to small and large companies. I provide encouragement, empowerment, assistance, and instruction, in organizing, restructuring, team building professionalism economically and proficiently. This leads to results in excellent customer service and increased revenues.

While being of service through my company, I am very involved in my community and with our youth. I have sat as the President of the PTSA as well as being a mentor to many of our youth in the Clayton County Public School. I sit on committees with Clayton County. I have worked with Rep. Valencia Stoval and many more to ensure we are doing our part. Part of my passion is to pour into our youth and our community. As whatever we put in it now, is what we will or will not receive later.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it is not a smooth road. There were people who doubted my knowledge, skills, talents for many reasons. Sometimes, it because we are women and sometimes it is because they are stuck in their ways.

Stand firm on your passion and vision, you have every right to be great at what you do. Anything worth having is worth working and fighting for. We spend a lot of money and time building other peoples’ dreams and visions while placing ourselves and our dreams on hold. It can take at least one or more degrees to make someone else’s company work; when we need 0 degrees to work for ourselves and build our own legacy. If God gave you the vision, he will give you provisions to make it happen.

Please tell us about Taylored Vision Enterprises.

Being a useful part of any industry requires: a passion for growth, success, professionalism, character, integrity, drive, and a love for what you do. Her fields of experience include but are not limited to: Personnel Management, Human Resource, Training, Business Management, Business Start-Up, Increasing business, and more.

I am most proud of my brand for the ability to help people build and leave a legacy for themselves and their families.

Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
The biggest barriers to female leadership are the lack of respect and trust people have for a woman to lead as well as a man.

Most if not all industries make women proves themselves twice as much, and work sometimes twice as hard but the pay and treatment will never be equal.
