Life and Work with Tanya M Turner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya M Turner.

Tanya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a woman who is inspired to help other women be transformed, live a better life, and be tailored for success. I understand this struggle personally. I have gone through painful experiences and deep hurts. I grew up feeling unloved, abandoned and rejected by my parents, which caused me to carry emotional baggage (feelings of rage, resentment, rejection, abandonment, and low self-esteem) for the majority of my life. I made poor choices in regards to my relationships, health, and finances. While experiencing life-changing experiences that altered my life dramatically. I battled with episodes of depression, darkness, eating disorders, stress, and mental chatters in silence. Eventually, high levels of stress began to affect my health. I began to experience issues with my heart (Atrial Flutter), anxiety, high blood pressure, and graves disease. However, I was able to overcome the challenges by doing my work! I knew deep down in my soul that I am chosen, God called me to do a greater work and I did not want to leave this earth without knowing the reason for my true existence, walking in my purpose, creating a legacy, and living my best life. I have learned how to live beyond the past by fostering self-awareness, alleviating emotional baggage, amplifying my gifts, and appreciate the woman I am today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nope, the road has not been smooth. Time Management has been an area of opportunity for me. Working a full-time job, serving others, while launching my business and products has been most challenging for me. However, when I made a decision to change the trajectory of my life and fulfill my dreams of becoming a business owner, I knew there would be resistance as well as financial sacrifices. It is in these times I always remind myself of my why? Why did I decide to start my business and who will benefit from me being successful in fulfilling my dreams, visions, and goals. It’s imperative that we let our (why?) be our motivation to overcoming challenges. My advice to women starting their journey is to stay centered (spiritually), stay genuine to who you truly are, keep a positive mindset, control your atmosphere, build great business relationships, exhaust-free opportunities before investing, and know that it is ok to say “no” and make adjustments as needed. These are key strategies that will help you stay in alignment with your goals and reaching your highest pinnacle of success. I suggest having a go-to scripture or quote. – for me, I am often reminded of the quote “turn your wounds into wisdom – Oprah Winfrey – I learn from mistakes and use those lessons to empower me to push through tough times.
