Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Rose.
Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
LibraMagic was born out of the pure need for me to heal myself. Being creative and making beautiful things with my hands has always been a comfort to me. As a child, I was a writer. In my teens, I was the student that got an A on every project that required creativity or a touch of artistic flair. As an adult, I have labeled my self as the Neighborhood Crystal and Copper Healer. The creativity I’ve experienced in this phase of life has opened me up to my very own amazing potential. My crystal work has not only taught me about the potential of energy and its ability to heal, but it has also taught me about the potential of healing one’s self.
LibraMagic started years before I twisted my first piece of copper. Five years ago, I was 32 years old, obese and diagnosed with congestive heart failure, borderline diabetes, asthma, sleep apnea, and honestly, the list goes on. During my fearful journey to find health, I started reaching for help in places I never tried before including my faith in the most High. My steps led me to study subjects like Ifa, Metaphysics and other branches of philosophy. The energy of crystals always supported me in my journey to finding my own happiness and sharing those concepts through LibraMagic is an additional benefit in my life.
Within the past five years, I have twisted copper and made magic with my hands for myself and loads of my surrounding sisters. Helping women have not only been a major focus for my business but it has been a pure passion in my life. I have learned so much about my self and my abilities through the growth of LibraMagic that it has also become my goal to share what I have learned with our struggling community. Finding the strength to overcome my health issues and balance family and business has not been an easy task but with the assistance of spirit and all that I have learned, I can truly say that good outweighs the bad.
Since I started creating Wearable Crystal Art and LibraMagic, I have managed to lose 200 pounds. I’ve created an environment within me that is both spiritually and physically balanced and I have found parts of myself that I never knew existed. The most exciting part of it all is my new found confidence to share it with the world.
LibraMagic is not only a handmade jewelry company but also a true example of what can be done when you realize that YOU are ENOUGH to make it through.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The journey that I have been on is not one that I could say is heartbreaking or traumatizing. I woke up one day 385 pounds with a weak heart, a pacemaker implant and a huge fear of the next moment is the last. I remember sitting at the window during one of my frequent hospital stays. I reached for my crystals. at that time, they were few. Rose Quartz for love, amethyst for chakra balance, lapis lazuli for intuition and a couple of others. They gave me comfort, I think that was the moment I released enough of my fear to make room for all the manifestations to begin. Since then, I have lost 200 pounds, my health is better then I can ever remember, and my dream of creating art every day is being fulfilled.
Not one step of the process was easy. Balancing a new relationship with my self and building a business based on love and the upliftment of my community could have been a very daunting task. I will be the first one to admit that if I didn’t have a connection to spirit and the strength of my ancestors I don’t know if I could stand as strong as I do today. A little nugget that I like to give my SISTARS is that you can’t have anything if you don’t ask. Help is all around us, and the biggest help is unseen. The strength of the ancestors reside within us, all we need to do to access it is accept that it has been there all along, but if all else fails to ASK!
The most important advice I could give my sis is to believe in her self. God did not put us down here for a reason and he sure nuff didn’t leave us without everything we need to survive. No obstacle is too big if it placed in front of you! Dig into your self and pull out all the greatness that the ancestors have left within you, and then, Be your DOPE SELF!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with LibraMagic – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as and what sets you apart from others.
Simply put, I create Beautiful Copper Jewelry incorporating Crystals and great intentions!
My copper bangles are my favorite healing tool. I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome and my mom has terrible arthritis. The copper that we wear has had calming effects on the pain that can come with these situations. That is why I decided to share them. They make you feel better and make you feel a little more beautiful, what could be a better combo!
My favorite thing to create is earrings. I know the power that a dope pair of earring can give a sister on a rough day.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
I was born to Jamaican and Trinidadian immigrants in Brooklyn NY. Hard work is all I know. My father was many things in his lifetime. While I had him he was a street vendor. It wasn’t until LibraMagic became more popular that I realized how much of him lived in me. I am thankful for many things. Being a child of hard-working west Indian parents is defiantly one. I am proud of where I come from and the strength I have from my family reminded me that giving up was never an option.
