Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaun Sinclair.
Hi Shaun, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began my writing journey through writing music first. Music is my first love and from the ages of 14-19, I was heavily involved in the music scene, even performing in Europe. I was a rapper and my guys and I formed a record label. This was my first intro to the entertainment business. Unfortunately, during this time, I was also involved in the streets, hustling and doing what hustlers do. When my first son was born, I decided to exit the streets and went into the military, joining the Army. While in the Army, my life did a total of 180. I found myself and was excelling until my past found me. I was locked up at 21 and sentenced to 15 years. While in prison, I rediscovered my gift of penmanship and switched my literary aspirations to writing books. I wrote 10 books while inside and when I was released, I founded my publishing company and multimedia company, Pen 2 Pen Multimedia.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Noooo, not at all. Some of the biggest struggles are time management, balancing work and home, and building an infrastructure from scratch.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the author of over 18 novels; owner of Pen 2 Pen Publsihing; Executive Producer of 3 films and 1 documentary, and director of three films.
I’m known for creating my own genre of books called, “Gangsterotica” (erotic crime fiction).
I’m most proud of writing, producing, and directing my first film, “The Set Up”.
My versatility in the arts sets me apart from others.
