Today we’d like to introduce you to Trina Pierre.
Hi Trina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started during hair when I was 10 years old. I got my license at 19 years old. At 22 years old I was styling hair in Europe. Once I got back stateside. I started doing Hair Magazine work. I open my 1st salon in Tennessee. 13 years later I moved to Georgia and opened my 2nd salon. I started doing competitions and platform work for Bronner Brothers. I also created my own Natural Hair Care line, Natural 4 Texture. I felt there was a need for a natural product that did not contain toxic ingredients. From there I went back to Cosmetology School and received my Instructors License. Right before the pandemic I closed my salon and moved into a suite in Marietta. I Guess You Can Say I Have A Passion for Hair.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a relatively smooth road, but the biggest struggle I had is when I moved to Georgia and opened my salon. It was hard to find stylists with a good work ethic.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Owner/ Master Hairstylist specializing in Natural Hair. I am known for my Silk Press, Hair Cuts, Color, Relaxers and promoting healthy hair. I am very grateful for turning my profession into a successful. My business acumen has allowed me to stay in business for over 30 years. My passion and my experience sets me apart from others.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My clients deserve all the credit for believing in me. My client Terelle believe in me when I didn’t even believe in myself. Terelle and her husband helped me build my first salon at no charge. I will never forget their kindness. My best friend Cathy Valerio was my biggest supporter when I went back to school to get my Instructor License. I could always call her to listen to my presentations and give me constructive criticism.
