Meet Abhi Golhar of Real Estate Deal Talk in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abhi Golhar.

Abhi discovered his entrepreneurial nature in high school repairing and renovating computers. He earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

During his time at Michigan, he read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad and it spurred his interest in real estate investing. He encountered many epic failures in business and investing. It took him years of mentorship, moving around the country, and near successes before he triumphed. He found success not from finding the right strategy, but from finding the right attitude. He is now a successful investor in single-family developments and multi-family apartment complexes. He has also been able to build several successful businesses from the ground up.

Now, as one of the managing partners at Summit & Crowne, a real estate investment firm based in Atlanta, GA., Abhi helps manage investment projects in:

  • Atlanta, GA and nearby secondary markets
  • Charlotte, NC and nearby secondary markets
  • Dallas, TX

He employs a “value-added” approach to capitalize on real estate renovation, new construction, and development opportunities in the Southeast United States. As the Founder of Real Estate Deal Talk, he actively educates and works with new and seasoned investors to implement market-driven investment strategies that yield success. His background in engineering coupled with a unique perspective on investing and business development allows him to interface with investors to provide capital, operations, and business development solutions to increase investment performance.

He enjoys talking about entrepreneurship and real estate investing as the Host of Real Estate Deal Talk on The Wall Street Radio Network, podcast, and YouTube. Real Estate Deal Talk is his way of providing massive value to real estate investors by answering questions about finding, evaluating, structuring, positioning, and exiting real estate deals and scaling a business. His responses are based on his own successes and failures as an investor, borrower, lender, and joint-venture partner.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was never a smooth road! The struggles, to name a few:

1. Self-confidence
2. Believing that achieving success was possible
3. Early failure leading to negative thoughts and feelings about my potential

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I invest in real estate and businesses. My investment strategy allows for creativity and maximum flexibility, giving me the opportunity to adjust to market trends quickly.

I’m most proud of creating the opportunity to serve other real estate investors to my highest and best potential. My radio show, on Biz1190, is on every day from 3-4pm EST and I also curate a daily podcast to help real estate investors get better and grow.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a really hyper kid. I could never sit still until I found soccer and the drums. I loved reading fiction and in high school, my buddy and I created a computer consulting company. We charged ~$25/hour to repair software and hardware issues around our neighborhood. We learned quickly the value of customer service and providing a great product…
